I had a terrible experience of this at 18. I was a support volunteer in a home of disabled women. We were told that a relative had died and we had to tell the resident. There were two other volunteers and they just wanted to walk away from it. She was a physically disabled woman, but also very low IQ, and I didn't even know her very well. I don't know if I did it in an OK way🫤
That was a good one. There's some real good lessons in there. Thank you. I love it when they're positive instead of just dragging you down.

I think it was less that, more of the fact that they’d never be able to reach out to him ever… like ever again
