Even some of the big channels are now saying being authentic is key this year in 2024, and to start out to not Niche down too much, until you find your passion and what resonates with your viewers, plus variety in your channel helps. People will come back because of the presenter perhaps more than the content and become subscribers. So true. Thanks for some great advice!

Its definitely you. You have to have "IT". Whatever it is. You my friend, You've got it. Youre the type of person where it doesnt matter what youre talking about people are going to watch. Like me. 😂 im a fan. American business Concept: sell hot dogs until youre able to sell lobster. Always keep the same quality of work. From start to finish and beyond.

@rjs-space it's easy to listen to someone who seems to have common sense. And easy to watch someone who appears to take care of themselves. You don't have to be rich or half naked, just aspiring and relatable.

Thank you very much. So what you’re saying is one can incorporate more than one niche into the channel but be it relatable? Like my son’s and I channel is about traveling, cruising and fun adventures right, so I am passionate about self development, helping those coming out of toxic relationships and finding their worth, purpose and their why etc. it sounds to me that I should create a different channel for this, right? Just because is not relatable. Thanks for your input.

Yes, you can have more than one niche in a channel if you can make them flow seamlessly. But if you have two or more extreme niche ideas, I would recommend having a second channel for that. Although if you're just starting out, that might be difficult and growth may take more time because you are not giving your 100% to one channel.

@@rjs-spacethank you for your input. Yes, it’s hard enough with one, I can’t imagine creating a new one right now. I’ll concentrate on this one first.

Hi RJ, You seem very relatable, and especially your message in this video. I'm a new youtuber, 10 videos and only 76 subs. I created a channel last summer called 'Cooze Adventures' very organically and spontaneously, while on vacation in Portugal with my family. While on the beach sunbathing, which I tire of very easily :), while my wife was soaking up the sun, I took a walk down the beach and popped my cell phone out, and videoed while I walked, and started talking. Then it occurred to me, why don't I put it on You-tube for my family to see. From there, after returning home, I realized that I had stumbled on a great new hobby, but I had some new skills to acquire. From the footage I had acquired, I knew that I had the raw material for a few videos, so then I had to find and learn a video editing software. After ten videos, I am looking forward to my next series of videos. I am about to go on a vacation in Eastern Canada. So, to the point of your video, I guess I have clamped myself into an Adventure and Travel niche. In spite of that, I have many other interests that I would like to explore. The challenge will be to tie them and twine them into my adventure theme, but I know it's possible, just another challenge along the way. Now I am seeing that my newfound hobby may become more than a hobby, so whenever talking to my friends about this, I describe it as a hobby until it is not, either by success or failure; one potential outcome being a short discontinued experiment and the other becoming a successful you-tuber. In any event, Browsing your videos has tweaked my interests in you channel, and I have become a new subscriber. You have many videos that I intend on checking out. I invite you to check out mine on 'Cooze Adventures'. Please keep in mind that my journey as a new youtuber is a work-in-process, so much more to learn, and I think I can learn much more from your vids. Cheers and happy you-tubing.
