How…..can jurors have problem with count #2 IF NOT GUILTY ON #1 & 3?? Count #2 is directly affected by the other 2 charges.
Couldn't you have a scenario (absurd of course) where KR hit JOK but was not aware of it. This would give 1,3 NG and 2 Guilty. Still, there is literally no evidence against KR. The whole case is a disgrace.

Bev's instruction was not to inform the court until they came to a unanimous verdict on all three counts.
This is why I believe her intent was suspect. She knowingly dismissed the jurors without polling them after instructing them not to inform the court unless they come to a unanimous verdict on all three counts. I believe her actions were probably legal but definitely unethical.
Effectively the judge replaced the jury.
Bringing the jurors in and asking them appears to be the most equitable choice when weighing the arguments from both sides
In these other cases I would almost guarantee that the jury was asked in open court. Also in the case that the prosecution is using it is one charge with 2 lesser includeds. So it is completely unlike any of the cases the prosecution used. The fact that the jury was not polled by the judge shows a blatant lack of regard for any opinion the jury held because it wasn't the verdict the judge wanted.
I don't feel that the judge gave the jury the time to explain.
I didn't believe you can argue that the unanimous verdict must be checked on the verdict firm when count 2 originally only included guilty on the check boxes. Also there is no check box for a deadlock. If these things are only valid if written, then all outcomes must be in writing to be valid.
I remember Jeff began to lose faith in the American justice system after Zachariah Anderson and things don't seem to be improving... 😢

I think the system needs a bit of work. Mostly I can't imagine the damage all of this stress is doing to KR's health. Poll the jurors. Period. It is the only way that this mess is in any way fair to KR. The fact is that jurors have come forward and said whoa, this is wrong, we acquitted her on two charges. Rules should not trump truth. All the posturing by the prosecution only proves that Karen could be tried again. Double jeopardy because of rules is just wrong. Because of rules even if all 12 jurors came forward and said KR is not guilty, she could still be tried again and possibly be found guilty. I don't think that was the intent of having rules. KR deserves the benefit of the doubt on this.

They just had a hung jury i believe it was washington it was the husband of karen swift. The jury had multiple counts such as this and the judge brought them in and went through each charge asking them if they was hung on one or many and they were only hung on one and it was the manslaughter charge as well so he acquitted him on all charges with a verdict and mistrial for the one they were hung on. It was the best thing since baldwin js 😂😂😂 this judge didnt let them argue rules and waited to draw them up when she was home and tired when jackson was upset about the verdict sheet and scolded karen for laughing in disbelief cause the judge always had an excuse while her life weighed on the balance smdh
