Iron flame was so good! I read it when it came out. So I didn’t see the reviews until after. I gave it a five stars. It was still some things I didn’t love and some things didn’t make sense but it was still so good!!
I have not read butcher and blackbird but the way you are describing it I would give The Mindf*ck series a try!!! I read it last year and gave it 6 stars and will be rereading this year!

I was kicking my feet the whole time haha! I also gave Butcher & Blackbird 4 stars. I enjoyed it but it didn’t blow me away. I gave Iron Flame 4.5 stars because a couple of things Xaden did triggered me a bit. But I’m also excited for the third book in the series. I hope you like The Night Swim. I enjoyed that too.

Honestly the serial killer scenes are kind of graphic so you might need to skip over those parts!!
I just thought that Iron flame was waaay too long (fyi german translations are always 150-200 pages longer so the book was 960 pages 🙃)
