Funny story, I was working overnights at my old job and my friends wanted to see this in the theatre. We went in stoked because we thought this was very alike max Payne and couldn’t wait. Half way through I couldn’t help but go in and out of sleep. I remember in my dark hour hearing the crowd several times cheering at multiple scenes. Gibson is one of my favourite actors and need to check this out officially.
This was a really great movie. And I agree with a few ppl, that this movie is a lot deeper then the action movie the trailer makes it to be. Ide recommend this movie to anyone.
This movie has many edge-of-your-seat moments from beginning to end but one, in particular, is possibly the most unexpected yet nerve-blowing scene in any movie I have ever seen. If there is another I cannot remember it. This one came rushing to mind the very moment I started the trailer after having watched this fabulous thriller a decade ago. A must-watch movie. You will know the scene I am referring to the moment you see it and like me never forget it!
Once again, Mel is fantastic as Thomas Craven. He makes the most normal police officer feel new and fresh. His Boston accent is great. He makes revenge in a film feel fresh and new. The one thing that bothers me is the creative decision to get rid of his daughters ashes so quickly. Personally, given his mindset, Thomas Craven shouldve been holding onto her ashes the whole time

Gibson was outstanding in this. His performance had me enveloped and fully invested in what would have otherwise been a mere by-the-numbers drama

Though not as good (or as depressing) as the original BBC miniseries, this new version by the same director is way better than it has any right to be.
First time I seen this movie was today it's been out since 2010 but I just now seen it great movie . I give it a five-star and two thumbs up
