I had these bags on my 2016 F250 with no compressor. I am (was) worried about installing them on my 2018 Ram 2500 because I wasn't sure how to do the compressor. Well, you solved that issue. In my Ford, I had my Schrader valve set up the same as yours. That's a good idea to do it again as a backup. You just saved me a couple hundred bucks! Thank you!
Joe - I just got a 2010 Ram 3500 Long Bed Diesel with no bags or compressor. Bought the same setup you got and was looking for a simple, regular Joe install video. Yours was super helpful, so thanks for taking the time! Cheers, Steve
Great video, so do your bag ever leak I had the firestone bags on my 2017 2500 with the remote and I traded it in for a 2018 3500 also and I'm thinking about putting on the air lift bags on to tow my 5th wheel?
Just installed these on my 1/2 ton and looking at getting the compressor next, had a question on how you plumbed the compressor and the Schrader valve together in case the compressor fails
Yes just to take sag out. Bring back to level. I like it when hauling at night. Lights go back to normal and others don’t flash there brights thinking mine are on cause there higher up.
@@joestephan82 thank you! I was debating about an inside mounting but heard the compressor was loud. I'm in PA but fortunately I don't drive this truck in winter but glad to hear it's working well!
@@michaelmascarello7025 it’s not horribly loud. But only runs a short time. Maybe 30 seconds to put bags to 40psi. Then really doesn’t come on unless I change the psi
I think so. If you ever tear a bag it is a stop on it. When not towing I run 5 pounds and that’s like stock riding. Towing I run 35. All is great so far. Love the on board Compressor
I hope you have better luck than me. Compressor runs every 80 seconds at 5 psi. And at 80psi it runs every 10 minutes. Air lift says I have a leak. I have replaced all lines and fittings. New controller new bags compressor is being shipped out today. I have spent at least 10 hours soaping fittings to find nothing. And I know how to chase leaks as I did it for a living with gases for 40 years. I also have new T's on the way to replace them again. It will air down from 80 psi to 0 in 2 days. I am about to take this system off my truck and throw it in the garbage. I like the way it changed the ride when towing but the compressor running all the time is unacceptable
Man I wonder what is wrong. Mine only runs when I change the pressures And will hold psi for ever. Have to taken the compressor off and just pump it up I would say soap and water on all the stuff but sounds like you did. The bags shouldn’t loss psi Keep me updated. I’ve been running mine for almost 3 years with zero issues. I know a buddy didn’t cut his line square before putting into fitting and his had small leak. But when we found that he’s had no issues also. Hope ya figure it out. It’s a great system
@@joestephan82 I have gone as far as removing the bags them inflating them to 80 psi and putting them in water for hours weighted down fully submerced and no bubbles. Totally frustrated. I did not get the easy mount system and the only thing I see different is the line on the easy mount you used from the compressor to the manifold is a nut fitting crimped line. Mine uses 1/4 plastic from the compressor to the manifold and the brass barbed fitting coming off the compressor gets very hot when running, which I would think would make the plastic line pliable making it prone to leaking but I can't get it to bubble there even.

Glad you liked it and hope it helped
J.J. Abrams would be so proud of the cinematography. ;-) Seriously though, thank our for the effort. I have confidence I can do this install myself.

I haven’t had any problems yet. And really like the onboard compressor I didn’t have that on my last rig. But so far so good.
Okay thank you I just order today the air lift bags and I'm going to put my old remote 72000 control when I get my bags.
Does your Ram have the Gooseneck/5th Wheel package, with the in bed puck system?
Yes it is prepped and has 5th wheel hitch in
Just installed these on my 1/2 ton and looking at getting the compressor next, had a question on how you plumbed the compressor and the Schrader valve together in case the compressor fails
Gerome Montano I just got a tee connector for the 1/4 hose picked it up on amazon
Joe Stephan I’m running a Tee currently to fill both bags equally
Yep now just tee off of that. You will have 2 tees
Why would you need to put airbags on a 1 ton pickup anyway? Is it just to take out the sag?

He's never pulled a load with a 1 ton apparently.
Good video, I'm installing the same kit this weekend
Wondering if anyone can comment on its durability? I see the installation was a couple years ago. Thanks!
I’ve had for a couple years now in Michigan salty roads under the truck no issues

Is the location of the compressor protected from dirt, water, salts, dust?
Just got these for my 19 Sierra was wondering could I ride around with the air loaded to 20-25psi with out towing? To remove the sag
Ya. It just may be a stiffer ride but you can
Are the airbags with the internal jounce bumpers worth it? How is your ride quality so far?

What size torque wrench or what torque wrench did you use?
I just used a 1/2 craftsmen torque wrench

@@skidoorulz4914 man that is crazy. You’ll have to let me know when the compressor comes if that was what was wrong
2 different manifolds won't pair. Any help is appreciated. Its wired according in instructions.
I’m not sure I’d give them a call. They are great to work with and can help you
I wish I saw this video before paying someone to install the airbags....
