I’m watching so many of your videos to learn about what accountants offer for ltd companies and the more I watch, the closer I am to picking up the phone to your number!
Thank you 👍 my Accountant is £2000 including vat but he pays for himself. Lots of good evidence anytime I need them on the phone. If you fined an Accountant that's as passionate about there job as you are with yours then there worth there weight in gold.
Great video. Could you do a video or point me in the direction of a video you’ve made talking about the difference between a Director loaning their company money in the DLA and a Director ‘investing’ their money in the company and potentially how to convert a DLA to equity? Thanks!
Hi, I was wondering if you or other accountants work on a one off consultation basis? To explain my personal circumstances. I've had my own limited company for 6 years and do my own returns. I'm confident with balance sheets and profit and loss. I'm on top of reconciliation and will always find any mistakes. I know about the most tax efficient way to be paid (salary + dividends), I know the most tax efficient way to use my car, and about AIA and depreciation. So I don't feel I need to pay upwards of £1000 + VAT for someone to do my returns for me. But I might benefit from a consultation to see if there are any tax benefits I'm missing. Is this a possibility?
Regarding paying for software to submit calculations in iXBRL format, can't small companies with simple accounts (such as a freelance software engineer like myself aha) use the Corporation Tax Online Filing Service?
Yes the video needs an update now. It’s possible if you have the accounting and tax knowledge, although we are yet come across anyone who has successfully done it!
I have an accountant that does my tax returns fine, but I would like someone more proactive that reviews my accounts, tells me how I could be more tax efficient and generally give me some tips on how to ensure my accounts are operating in the best way possible. Does this sort of accountant exist?
@@love83forever this is the same situation I am in. I would be happy to pay more for someone that would always review my accounts and put better systems in place and to make sure i am running my business at optimum efficiency. I was always told that a good accountant will save you money in the long run.
Yes they exist! The problem is, many are old-school 'compliance' accountants that mainly exist to make sure the hassle and complexity of filing is dealt with only. The question to ask when looking is, HOW will you act proactively to help me. If the answer is a bit rough then it's probably not the accountant you are looking for.
Hi, Can you please send us, if you do not mind what range/levell of services are included in the basic accounting, medium level acounting and premium level accounting for a limited company. What are the costs, roughly for each levels of accountancy? Kind Regards,
Hi Lucian, if you get in touch with our team at info@heelanassociates.co.uk they can arrange a discussion with you. Each accountancy using different ways of pricing.
😢 sadly you can’t. The best you can do is do your homework on them, check they are part of a professional body. Sadly even history shows there are some bad guys out there.
Hi, thank you for the such great content! My wife and I currently have buy to let properties in our own name and have an accountant who deals with our personal tax returns. We are looking to start a limited company. Is it possible and do you have experience of just dealing with a limited companies accounts and another accountant dealing with the personal tax return. From the accountants point of view is this particularly difficult, time consuming expensive etc?
Yes this happens more often than you think, so for example two business partners go into business together and one already has their affairs with a long term accountant. Its not more difficult or time consuming (generally), it's just ensuring the accountant not dealing with the personal tax understands the full details of your personal income so they can ensure they are advising best in terms of getting paid/income from the LTD.
It's impossible to say really. Depends what they did for you! Could be super cheap, could be extortionate. Sorry thats not more help! Accountants costs vary massively.
Hi, yes we have a full service accountancy business at heelanassociates.co.uk - best way to get in touch is drop us an email at info@heelanassociates.co.uk
Hi Roxana, it depends on the type of question. Due to professional regulations, if it's direct specific advise, we need to be engaged as accounts to give this. If its a simple, general one, we maybe able to answer here.
It’s good to understand what’s in it. Could be cheap! We’ve got clients that pay us anywhere between £350-100,000 a year, it’s all relevant to what you get.
You speak too much but lose the focus. People as same as I, want to know how you answer your topic: How much does an accountant cost? At least, let me know what is the cost structure in accountant cost such as how accountant charge you by what aspect or factor? and show it in a systematic way for audience. Otherwise, just thanks for your presentation but I got nothing.
Hi Thanks for taking the time to comment. That is the issue though, in the UK accountants all charge differently and can have totally different and individual services levels - it's impossible to say systematically. That's really the takeaway from the video, it gives you a feel for the level of investment but ultimately you'd need to make enquires directly to some accountants to prices for your exact requirements.
Just watched a second video. Im in! Ive subscribed as i see a guy who can explain things to me so i understand it. Mean feat.
Thanks! I'm a simple dude so it has to make sense to me ;- )

Will get this added to the list! Don't think we have one on this issue on its own.
Actually.... we did this one that might help th-cam.com/video/OdPuE4Fx9ZA/w-d-xo.html
Is quickbooks the easiest way to do bookkeeping for a small business?
That or Xero would currently be our recommendations.

Some cheap boya mic!

Hi Ollie,
Some accountants will do this, they can be difficult to find. We’ve done it plenty over the years but currently don’t offer that service.

Paying for a accountant tax deductible?
Yup.
Do businesses pay their accountants monthly?
It depends on the account. Many accountants do this now, in fact i'd say most of the ones we come across. Works well for both parties.
Yt- Blubbba Boy indeed, it’s why we do this to - clients prefer it and it works for both parties.
