Dico has 4 kids and a wife. He has basically said fuck the character since the first movie, "when all is said and done Tremaine is gonna buy a million dollar mansion and I'll still be some dude in the movie". Its like hes salty
@Pine Trees Bam Margera has talked about him briefly when asked about why hes not around. I heard him talk about him on The Nine Club Skateboarding podcast
I don't care how many times he repeats himself. It's awesome that he put it together to get sober, and the story of how he built his ego and broke it down doesn't change. Much love Brandon. Thank you Raab.
For every comment about him repeating his story over and over I want to say this. If you listen to any public speaker like for example Gary Vaynerchuck or Anthony Robbins or Grant Cardone, you will find that they have told the story so many times that they’ve actually mastered the ability to get their point across. I believe I’ve heard his story more than 10 different times but for some people they are so great at telling their stories that I actually just enjoy hearing it and in some weird way I get a kick out of hearing the same versus over and over. For those of you looking for him to say something new, would be assuming that he would just go and tell stories about other people because he is living his life now for the service of other people. He does it once in a while tell him his position in life right now but he is on a mission and most missionaries repeat their script. I have no idea who this guy is in the world of jackass or Bam even though I know about them. I was never a skater and I never watched any of that stuff but I am fascinated by the grip of addiction and how people can change. You watch people who lose drastic weight or who go from rags to riches but I think this particular recovery story and others like that seem far more difficult to overcome and for some weird reason it inspires me to be a better person. I hope one day to meet him.
look at raab .. the dude who got paid to get smashed in the face and living at bam's in a fucking basement really turned into a humble and normal person it's so good to see him happy much love chris, lil key key wants a hunk
I'm 1 minute 30 seconds in and I knew he was saying the same stuff. He's literally a quote machine now. It's like he's constantly trying to sell sobriety to people. However it's likely that he says the same stuff over and over as its the truth and by saying it out loud he confirms to himself why he needs to stay clean. I can understand why Bam is sick of hanging around with him but he should be happy his friend is doing better.

Great video watched this many times now. Fell into the same pattern when I was 19, almost 10 years later and still stuck. I'd say is more of he says the exact same quotes. Even Raab and Steve O pointed it out on their most recent podcast. Steve O said it's not particularly healthy to only think and talk about your sobriety and past addiction all day everyday. In his testimony it makes sense to say the story the same way. That's what a testimony is.... but even when he was on Joe Frantzs' podcast where they were speaking aboit Bams addiction, Novak brought up the same deodorant stick pillow speech and it wasn't even necessary. Steve O said you can't treat your sobriety like that.
@RcUniverseGuy I agree that he shouldn't be using the same words and be obsessive over it. However, it still is something that he has to live with forever. A heroin addict can't simply 'forget' and go on. He'll forever remember the feeling of heroin because his brain has been rewired to constantly be thinking about it, so talking about treatment constantly is the only way he's able to cope with these thoughts. If he wasn't so obsessive about his recovery, I guarantee he'd just go back to using because these thoughts don't just simply disappear.
Actually seems like he adds little white lies here and there to embellish the tale a little bit every time he retells his tale of redemption but I agree in general he’s always seems like he’s reading from a book.
Love you two and all you guys. I grew up with y'all. It's beautiful what you guys are doing this podcast alone will resonate with everyone who hear it. Shit needs to be said and reminded. Twelve steps saves addicts not addicts it's not a religion it's straight Earth wind fire water doggs. Awesome piece here, love your story Raab and grateful to hear it . All love
"The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing." "To know what you know, and to know what you do not know. That is true knowledge." a famous sentiment that Novak came to the realisation of, profound. Novak is a great spirit
I used to feel the same way, but now my opinion on it has changed. I honestly believe that this actually is his new personality. These rehearsed lines and routines help him stay sober, and even though it might seem disingenuous because of our pre-conceptions of Novak based on Jackass, this actually is his new reality. And he seems super healthy and happy, so i'm stoked for him.
I enjoy Brandon's monologue and the variations of it - he's a gifted natural speaker and I greatly appreciate you both taking the time to revisit this for those who are unfamiliar with it.
Where did you see Raab getting fucked up? I've never seen nothing really about Rabb Himself getting drunk or anything but I've definitely seen numerous things about Brandon Novak being messed up and constantly lying about it
Dylan Moore I totally agree...im glad he’s sober and doing great and it is a great speech, but i wish he’d kinda veer off on some new material because he’s very entertaining..
when you lived it how can you change it? of course its going to be the same story because its what happened and how/why it happened. his story about addiction isn't a dr seuss book where he can change what happened.
That seriously pisses me off. Novak is cool and I am glad he is clean but I cant stand when people spout off these automatic spiels. So inauthentic and rehearsed. Just say where you are at. This isn't a speaker meeting. LOL
Yeah, it's a shame, I would just wanna hear like, hey man what's your story, what's some fun things that happend, some bad thing that happend, whatever. It's not enjoyable to listen to the constant AA monologues.
This touched my heart because I'm a heroin addict myself.but this gives me great hope..much love to you both I'm extremely happy to see you both as you really are
Man I'm a fan of all you guys and I see Novak is stuck on repeat when a lens is in his face, I hope he is doing good and I hope all you guys are doing good, I watched y'all growing up through my whole childhood and anything yall put out I'm watching but damn I can only listen to songs on repeat.
Just come across your content from watching a random interview from Steveo. So happy you guys look happy and healthy! Subscribed Raab. Such a good episode
Raab and Novac were very similar archetypes back in the day. The way one will tell about their experiences and then the other will chime in and add onto it flawlessly is amazing chemistry. It's sad that they ended up parting ways and spent so long apart.
Who cares if he keeps saying the same lines! Those mean something to him!! That's his dam story!!!!!!! We repeat our stories we remind ourselves about ourselves over and over so we don't forget so we can stay clean and sober ... Don't hate on him or his story!!!! Love you man I'm so miserable but I was doing so good thank you for your story!
@@KCOBAINZ67 He doesn't need to bring up the"3 scarves, stick of deodorant" speech every time. He doesn't need to be so overly calculated in every interview. Listen to Steve O's interviews with Graham vs any sobriety video Novak is ever in. Steve O speaks like an independent person where the words come out naturally. Novak speaks like one big slogan. As if everything is coming from his recovery books and AA meetings. Novak never talks about any different experiences he has gone through.
Holy shit I've never heard it said it that way. I'm 26, 5 years heroin free, but I became an alcoholic, then I couldn't drink enough to escape.... I was the addict that wanted to be dead, but I was too much of a pussy for suicide and being totally out of it and nodding out was the next best thing. Desperation was essential for me. My last relapse on alcohol the only holes blood wasnt coming out of was my eyes and ears. Liver/kidney was shot, I was yellow as a banana, and I literally thought I was going to die during my detox. I did it at home bc I dont have $ for rehab. It was so scary bleeding on my insides having seizures and getting really dizzy with no medical help. The only reason I survived was because of Jesus, no joke, I didn't grow up going to church but Jesus found me and I cant deny Him. But he needed me to stay alive because my mother's dead, and I'm my father's caretaker and I'm the only family he has left. THROW AWAY D.A R.E. AND JUST PLAY THIS PODCAST AND TOMORROW WILL BE DIFFERENT. I bet it would have a much better impact on drug prevention
Hey congratulations! I hope you have been maintaining well since this comment. I completely threw away my 20’s because of a similar level of alcoholism (bleeding when using the bathroom, unable to lay down comfortably because my liver was so bloated). I'm really proud that Novak is clean, and I wish him the absolute best on his sobriety. But dang, I couldn't even make it past the first few minutes of this podcast. I swear, I've heard Novak say the exact same thing in at least 5 different interviews. On a sidenote, it sucks Vito is gone, cause it would be awesome to of had his input on the podcast.
Damn man a lot of people hating on Novak for saying the same story, but that's his life story. He is just passionate about recovery now and is on fire right now in his sobriety. It's just how a lot of people talk when asked shit because you figure they tell their life story so many times that it does become a scripted type of thing. It's kinda funny bc you can tell which comments are from people in recovery and understand his same story again seeming scripted, and which comments are from people who are just not alcoholics and are pissed about his same story. Be happy you're pissed about hearing the same story again bc it probably means you have a decent life and will never have to struggle with the horrible hell of alcoholism.
You deserve a round of applause dude. That is absolutely correct. He saved his LIFE from a killer that takes 95% of us... Of COURSE it's all he talks about and we should be proud!!

"Even in my bad times, my life was still better than....." I've been there too, taking the positive stock in one's own life, comparing it to the lives of others, and you feel as if thou you've accomplished something, remaining sober. It's NOT JUST SOMETHING, but everything to the one that has decided to "go sober", which really, isn't that "dirty of a word" if you've ever been down that low. The ability and ableness (not that that's a word, lol) of one after conquering one's addiction, is that of intoxication. Feeling that one's sobriety is more important than that of another's, is folly. One can think oneself to be superior due to this or that, but whence one initiates such an endeavor, such has realized such folle of one's endeavor.

Novak has a good rhythm in his conversation, he tends to ramble and control the pace of the conversation BUT he doesn't mind taking a break and really listening to the other person for a bit, most domineering personalities are not capable of laying back and letting someone else take the spotlight.

Love it. Love ALL of these. Thank you Raab. You the man. Always.
All love
"The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing."
"To know what you know, and to know what you do not know. That is true knowledge."
a famous sentiment that Novak came to the realisation of, profound. Novak is a great spirit
How'd I know Novak would have nothing better to talk about but how sober he was. Dude, we get it. No more dope for you, whoopty doo.
So don’t listen to it.....
well its the only reason he's alive
Yet you listen to it and comment on it though? Interesting
Brandon has this rehearsed ...I'd like to just see his personality
I used to feel the same way, but now my opinion on it has changed. I honestly believe that this actually is his new personality. These rehearsed lines and routines help him stay sober, and even though it might seem disingenuous because of our pre-conceptions of Novak based on Jackass, this actually is his new reality. And he seems super healthy and happy, so i'm stoked for him.
Finally got around to watching this. Super glad you guys did this. Awesome podcast
I really needed to hear this conversation. Thanks, guys.
I enjoy Brandon's monologue and the variations of it - he's a gifted natural speaker and I greatly appreciate you both taking the time to revisit this for those who are unfamiliar with it.
Ben Gallaty nicely said
It's interesting to see how most of the CKY crew matured lol.
That's what happens :)
Hey it's that guy that always comments on Fancy Lad videos
@@barrette.lediard4010 I love those lads!
Some of my very best friends!
Most? Lol
It's so weird to see Raab Himself and especially Brandon Novak, speaking articulate and looking sober.
Right. I would never have thought. These two were so messed up. I'm happy to see them doing so well.
Where did you see Raab getting fucked up? I've never seen nothing really about Rabb Himself getting drunk or anything but I've definitely seen numerous things about Brandon Novak being messed up and constantly lying about it
Its called growing up. Get used to it. Not everyone has to be fucked up!
novak is my idol. his story has made a huge difference in my life. ive learned so much from him and all hes gone thru. Very great man.
Thanks for having Brandon on! So glad to see him doing well, and helping others
Dude has this speech memorized word for word. He tells it every time he can. He should switch it up and be more real
Dylan Moore
I totally agree...im glad he’s sober and doing great and it is a great speech, but i wish he’d kinda veer off on some new material because he’s very entertaining..
We want new content but this story has not changed because he is being real.
@@davidhunt9477 Yes this is his truth now what he knows
when you lived it how can you change it? of course its going to be the same story because its what happened and how/why it happened. his story about addiction isn't a dr seuss book where he can change what happened.
The first time in his life Novak can keep his story straight and dipshits like you bust on him for it.
I cheer for Novak every time I see him. Keep on fighting the good food. Also, love hearing that old school Raab laugh. Miss it.
Novak with the same monologue he has recited a million times.
My thoughts exactly. And spouts off all of the AA catchphrases
That seriously pisses me off. Novak is cool and I am glad he is clean but I cant stand when people spout off these automatic spiels. So inauthentic and rehearsed. Just say where you are at. This isn't a speaker meeting. LOL
u guys sound like a bunch of cry baby bitches
Yeah, it's a shame, I would just wanna hear like, hey man what's your story, what's some fun things that happend, some bad thing that happend, whatever. It's not enjoyable to listen to the constant AA monologues.
because its his fuckin story? how could he change it then??
This touched my heart because I'm a heroin addict myself.but this gives me great hope..much love to you both I'm extremely happy to see you both as you really are
OH MY GAAAAWD Guys!!!! This is the best. Thank you for uploading this. I love your channel Raab :)
Awesome!!! What about decco? Whens his cast?
That's what I'm waiting on as well :)
Yessssss PLEASE
C'mon deco!
*Dico/Dicamillo
I see the same in joe frantz instagram
Awesome 👏 bro glad to see your doing well and I’m thankful for the information
It would be great to see you, Bam, Brandon and some of the other guys from early CKY do a podcast together. I'm pumped you have a podcast Raab!
Damn it Raab. This should've been a 3 hour podcast. It's time to do like Joe Rogan and turn shit up!
Joe rogan is a shill
Man I'm a fan of all you guys and I see Novak is stuck on repeat when a lens is in his face, I hope he is doing good and I hope all you guys are doing good, I watched y'all growing up through my whole childhood and anything yall put out I'm watching but damn I can only listen to songs on repeat.
Just come across your content from watching a random interview from Steveo. So happy you guys look happy and healthy! Subscribed Raab. Such a good episode
Chemistry in this is great, best vid yet
i'm 3 years off h man i grew up watchin y'all and i apreshiate the message y'all are outing there
Absolutely class, always great to see new content from these guys.
Raab and Novac were very similar archetypes back in the day. The way one will tell about their experiences and then the other will chime in and add onto it flawlessly is amazing chemistry. It's sad that they ended up parting ways and spent so long apart.
Great interview 👊
( this was beautiful to see)
Who cares if he keeps saying the same lines!
Amen!!!!🙏🙏🙏
They are both nice dudes just sharing their interesting stories love to know why people always have to try and bring them down
All Novak’s interviews are all exactly the same
haven't you been dead for like 12 years?
Poonisclungeman no. I’ve been dead for 15 years.
well how the fuck do you change it???
And got started on opiates at 20 years old, stayed on them till 28. I have to keep a vigilant mind Every, Single, Day. That’s so awesome to hear you found God like you did, I did too. Completely changed me as a person, keep up the good work!

So awesome! Love both you guys so much!
Holy shit. This video is amazing! So enlightening
love this podcast. so many good convos with the fam !!
God dam you guys make so much sense and help me so much. I didn’t know that was raab until 4:25 when I posted this.
Thank you, I’ll watch the entire video when I get the time
If anybody reads this and needs help call Brandon’s hotline he’s got a great bunch of guys answering the phone and you shouldn’t be afraid
Novak really needs to drop the script. Just speak from the heart. It’s the same thing every time, he has so much more to offer.
I feel like I Know all these guys and it's strange how I feel close to them...idk maybe cuz they are so humble
Dude underwear bungee jump lol😂😂😂 love u guys keep it up bro
Novak sounds like his book. Needs to change it up.
it almost seems like an act.
BillBrasky86 exactly... he repeats the same lines in every interview.
Raab this is great! Love these brother! gotta hit the record button again after the 30 minutes is up lol!
Thank you, very interesting. Thank you for sharing!
Loving these podcasts Raab keep doing it takes me back to my teens
Grew up in Newtown sq watching you guys as a kid thinking I could be a professional jackass got a stick in my ass cheek in the process, coming up on a year sober and watching this now was a god moment for me. All we have is today.
Brandon is hilarious to come with humor just says how God is pouring into him
Brandon got me clean...3 years strong for me now...I thought I jus couldnt be helped...jus like him...15 plus rehabs...and i love him for helping me threw it with his book and his documentary...love ya Novak....keep it up Chris doing great job
love the podcast guys! CKY4Life
Thank u Raab and Novak.
Would be cool to have Novak as a regular guest!
Would Brandon Dicamillo be interested in your show? or is he out of the game?
JamKaret he is out of the game with all the voy crew.
well hes in his movie "borrowed happiness" so I'm sure he is.
He’s into action figures now... I doubt he’ll make an appearance. Besides, when he’s not putting on the dico act he’s just a regular guy from PA
Novak🤘🏻 Hope dicos next!
Novak is a total South Florida Rehab Robot.
Hate to say it.
Joseph Sias 🤣😂🤣😂🤣🥶🥶☠️☠️☠️👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 so fkn true lol 😂 n he wants to send every fkn person he meets to rehab cux he gets paid for it... i had a buddy who did the same thing
I love this podcast. Keep up the A+ content!
this is a great convo. but we need another one more about the old days viva la bam and cky
I'm grateful you guys made it through all the crap. Now we all get to make new memories together. :)
Novak is an inspiration. What a wonderful human he is.
50min13sec on out everything Raab and Novak say is especially wow! Such key things!
This interview was goddamn fantastic! So glad to have Raab’s podcast in rotation with other podcasts.
On the audio version they seem kinda quiet (even at full volume.) If you can level that up that’d be perfect!
I love Rabb he's humble cool guy ...these were just some kids who got really lucky it's all over now but I like that they had it when they did..
Amazing how this guys turned his life around. Shit, I remember watching him on jackass and viva la bam laughing so hard at his stunts/drunkness but also thinking this guys going to an early grave. Look at him now. Inspirational, you can really change your whole life if YOU want to.
really great show hope you keep up the great podcast rabb
I watched all these guys, Jackass, Cky, viva la bam, wildboys, etc. Back on vhs, dvd, tv days. It's so weird to see how they've turned out.
Didn’t Frantz write his book?
Great podcast. Novak interesting as usual. Happy to see brandon sober and doing well but i have to say his interviews on howard stern with bam margera are epicly funny. This guy is too much lol.
Novak and raab both look great so proud of them that they turned their lives around especially novak he fucked up so many times but he didnt quit
27:43 that's the secret to life man. Not telling everyone to fuck off, but knowing when to ignore some shit, to keep yourself on the right path. I'm proud of you Raab.
Brandon is “spouting off same lines” because it’s his new life. If he was still on drugs then he would be considered a loser with no hope. Keep going Brandon ❤️
Just got done with my bathroom break. Was good Novak
Drop the script Novak. Love!
Novak has a good rhythm in his conversation, he tends to ramble and control the pace of the conversation BUT he doesn't mind taking a break and really listening to the other person for a bit, most domineering personalities are not capable of laying back and letting someone else take the spotlight.
Dude get rake and dico dressed as rake on lol “ahhg somebody get me some Pantene” lol
Rake is legit scientist now.
@@therealjigsawjp he always was
@@jeffboyd8139 Yep. Since the day he was born. He came out of the womb with beakers and bunsen burners.
@@eriklarson4082 well he said now, implying that he just became a legit scientist recently when in reality he was doing all that before cky was ever a thing. Watch the Cky Documentary, they talk about it all the way back then
woodoo woowoo
the drugs and alcohol is definitely an other side of jackass and cky wich I never knew.
Mad respect for you guys who turned out clean and changing other peoples lives ! definitely novak is so inspirational.
this was an amazing episode ! keep up the great work, love from belgium !
It was nice to hear some of Raab’s story through this. His mom was his rock 🪨
