Hi Louise, yes, that Saxon Church is so calming isn't it. I didn't know it was a former school. I loved the choir piece of music that you used. That was a super cool bit of editing entering the church! It really is a terrific town isn't it? I was rather taken with it on my visit too. This was a super video, packed with brilliant facts, and rounded off with great cream tea! I loved your recollections of holidays on narrowboats too. Lovely music during the cream tea sequence too! The cat was TH-cam shy! Great and charming work again. Paul.
Thank you Paul! The Saxon church is just so beautifu because of its simplicity and sense of peace, I was pleased to find that choir piece . It was actually the intro to a much more upbeat and loud track from Epidemic Sound, but it worked really well here! Haha! That door transition!! I am so glad that I spent rather too much time getting the door to open in the right place. Lots of trial and error, but so happy with the result 🤣. I really loved the town and it’s waterways so much!
Lovely walk, Louise. We've been there a few times over the years. I must admit that I've never been up to that viewing point, but the effort of climbing that hill looked well worthwhile. It's well worth fallowing the canal to the aqueduct and pub. Easier walking too! Thanks for that one. Stay safe and see you soon.
@@SouthWestSundays It may be a controversial thing to say but I'm really not a fan of regency spa towns such as Cheltenham and Bath with their uniform period style, much preferring places with varying styles of buildings such as Bradford
What a lovely start to my Sunday. Fantastic editing again Louise with very fitting music. What a quintessentially British beautiful town and I loved the houseboat with garden and logs etc on the roof. Thanks so much for this. I’ll have to investigate if this is easy to get to from my Mums!
Thanks so much Alex! Really pleased you enjoyed it. It’s such a delightful place! It has everything going for it and something for everyone 🤗 I hope that you get a chance to visit some time. I can’t believe I have left it so long before visiting there myself. It’s gorgeous !
Aaaaah you're killing me! I vlogged a trip to BOA last month but it will be ages before I get it edited and published. I'm a compulsive perfectionist and we are trying to go back and drone there before doing the edit! 🙄
Ah! I hope you manage to get tte drone up soon! It will be stunning!! I really look forward to your take on it! I am a bit of an editing perfectionist too! I am constantly learning and improving but then each edit takes longer and longer as I realise how much there is that can be done! 🤣 When i first started editing (on my phone then) it was as quick as joining a few clips together and adding a sound track!
Great video Louise. It's a very pretty town and you showed me places and views I had not seen before. Great music. We enjoyed our walk along the canal to Avoncliff when we visited. Some of your clips at the beginning were too short for me. I need time to look at each new clip.😉.
Thank you Caroline! Days off used to be so repetitive but with doing the channel I get out exploring all these gorgeous places that I never really knew existed before and it’s lovely to share them 🤗
Hi Louise! It was lovely touring with you. Loved the stopping for tea - it really looked elegant and would be a must-do especially on such a sunny day. Loved the explanation of Avon and all the other avons around the country and beyond. 😊
Thank you Donna! Haha, I love trivia like that too! I believe there are sone avons overseas too. Yes, the cream tea experience was very elegant. I like that word. Thanks so much for the lovely comment!
What a beautiful place, so much to see & do, such interesting churches & stunning views from over the town. I am glad you saved your snacking for the cream tea, as you say not cheap, but it looked darned good & there were 2 scones, so it was more of a meal. Thanks Louise.
Thank you Faith! Yes, it was so interesting there. Before doing the channel I did not pay much attention to places I visited, but now I research so much and it gives me a far better experience d as bs enjoyment of visiting places. Yes, the cream tea was like a meal 😂 It was an ‘experience’ too, like being transported back in time. Thanks so much for watching and commenting 🤗
Wait.... you almost flooded a village 😲🤣 It looks like such a relaxing and picturesque place to visit especially with all the good weather you had. Oh wow, the tea rooms looked so quaint and the cream tea itself looked delicious and the views at the end!
Thank you Jesse! Yep … almost flooded a village! I remember clearly being told off by a village resident and being distraught about it! Otherwise I loved doing the locks! Such a relaxing place and so easy to get to from Bristol or Bath. Yes, that cream tea was a real treat and an ‘experience’ full of character. The views at the end were so worth the little climb and I was hoping for a cat to star in a video soon and I even got that! Can’t wait to return there sone time.
Such a lovely place Louise. Thank you for showing us around. So much to see and explore. The cream tea looked delicious but so is ham, egg and chips lol! 😂
Ok funny story.... we went to BOA to see if we would consider moving there. That tea shop you stopped at is next door to a former temple / restaurant that is for sale!! But no we are buying it 😂
Oh wow! BOA would be an awesome place to move to! I B did not say in the video but the traffic was really heavy on Friday. I believe it was heavier than normal due to road works.

I am planning on going there in a few weeks' time, so I was researching. This is absolutely one of the best content on Bradford-on-avon. Thank you.
