The pressure is set to allow for proper penetration (the number being variable based on products), defined as the nail head being flush with, but not cutting into, the shingle surface.
Funny on the impact test, for the products, brick, wood, etc, you showed the guy holding it right at the top and releasing the hammer, but on the IKO shingle, you don't see how far he brings it up. SO how do we know how far he held it up...............misleading huh?
