Big Idea:
The 3Boys1set traveled to the Netherlands, the heart of the gabba scene, to united with a lot of hardcore addicts. Our goal was to honour the one and only 3 Steps Ahead with a music video to his legendary track ‚Drop It‘. Even though the release was more than 20 years ago, hardcore still lives and we wanted to show that energy and love.

im 41 i was gabber from 1997 time these times were awsome. im stil gabber but i don't go to festivals anymore like i use to be when i was younger. i was at thunderdome to and sportpaleis antwerp shadowlands terrorist i was at the most party back in the days peppermill heerlen. i've also been on mystryland tunnel of terror 1997 i've been on a party were 3 Steps Ahead was so sad he past away.

Fcuking glorious! I'm getting on for 60 now and not raving as much as I used to 30 years ago, but, if I did go out raving then I would most def be out and about with these folks! dress code attitude energy all on point quality never goes out of fashion. Max respect from the UK.

Old school gabber dance?? Thats not correct everybody did a different dance. Almost nobody did the same dance on a rave. It was fun to watch, everybody did what they liked. The crazier the better
@@raw0302 Well no, it's not the *only* old school one. It's just older school than the new "backwards step" style which seems to be most of what I see now. This style is way closer to what I'm familiar with from the mid-90s. :)

There is no oldskool style gabber dance everybody did his own thing that was the fun of it nobody give a damn in that era how you danced. What you see in this clip is gabber dance with a label! For sure you never been to a rave in the '90s
@@raw0302 Perhaps I'm not explaining very well. I only meant that they weren't doing the newer styles that seem to dominate these days, and this feels so much more like the old school stuff. Sure, most people didn't do this exact thing, but the spirit is there and the feeling is there and it reminds me so much of the raves I went to. My first rave was in 1998 and in the UK so I may well have had a different experience to you.

The cooperation never took off and Rob and Peter-Paul created only two records together, titled "Step 1" and "Step2". FIrst Release at 97. Dang, time flies by way too fast. Now I´m in my late 30`s and still listening to this from time to time. Nice that the younger folks keeping the spirits alive.
Awesome intro, I'm Irish, but I lived in Rotterdam(pretorialaan 16b1) for 17 years way back in the day, used to love going to Hardcore parties on Kievitslaan and in the Energiehal, great times, great people and vibes. You miss it more and more the older you get, enjoy your youth, it only happens once!!

Its funny to me as a dutchman how far hardcore has reached. would have never expected that hardcore was popular in mexico or anywhere outside of europe to be honest. Mostly would be stuck in the netherlands (where it is created ofc) Germany Belgium and ofc france. but thats about it.
