I had to use Facebook messenger to get someone to respond. They wouldn't help. I also ordered an accessory, and it never shipped (from China I guess) and it delayed my install, this took me out of return period (30 days). Again, they would answer me of agree to send me out another part. This is going to sound crazy, but you can save $200 if you just order directly from the Chines manufacturer, and I think you would get better service. The only reason I ordered from Phoenix was I wanted to make sure that I had someone to call if things went wrong. Boy, did they let me down. Thank you for the video. This is why I ordered the unit.
Now that it has been about 2 years. What’s the downside of switching to this android type system? What functions or steering wheel controls are lost? I am in Gig Harbor and thinking of going this route. I am an iPhone guy. Thanks for the video!

That is anexcelent question! I did not install mine on my own. I would suggest you contact the company that you bought it from. If it was Phoenix Auto they are great at video chatting with you to walk you through the installation process :)

I don't know about better quality but I do know of plenty that are far worse online. This is the only company that when researching that I found had 100% CUE functionality. I didn't want to lose anything that the car had when I swapped form CUE to this... :)

I just had to have a new unit installed, first one died. You also said that a friend did a review video of the launcher, can we get the link?

In the video, you say its an 8 inch px6 model, but the link takes you to a 10.4 model that is not px6. I have a 2014 cts and contacted Phoenix to make sure the fast boot model would work and they said no it would not after i sent them a picture of my dash. Care to offer any clarification because it looks like it should work for me. Is there something I’m missing?
Does yours have two separate Bluetooth devices? One labeled as cue and the other as the aftermarket unit? Or do the newer ones streamline this all through cue? Also with the older ones the blue tooth would stop music anytime you move to another screen does this newer style do that?
Some times when it's cold out and if I left the car out over night it takes like 2 minutes to fully boot up. That's probably the only annoying thing. Also I think the back up camera froze once where I had to put it back into park and then back into reverse.

do you lose sirius? or did you have to get a wireless adapter? i have a 2016 ats. that started to screen delamination. wouldnt mind keeping sirius though, never cared about the glove box thing either, my i11 doesnt fit.

First and foremost, thanks for the video tutorial. Second, I just installed my Tesla style radio in my 2013 Cadillac XTS, which is almost identical to yours. Finally, just about everything works as it should except the most important feature, which is THE SOUND. When I insert a USB drive in to one of the ports on this Tesla style radio, all of the contents (music, videos, pics) loads up on the tesla style radio as it should. Once a play a file from the USB drive, NO SOUND plays through my Bose speakers. Did you have this issue after you've installed your radio? If so, how did you resolve this issue?
Yes I did. The problem was the aux connection was loose, because the supplied aux connection barely reaches the XTS aux port, which is in the armrest console. I just bought a gold plated aux extension cable. Now, everything works great.

Not sure if its the Tesla head unit itself or the factory speakers but I have to turn the volume almost to the max if I want to listen to any media somewhat loud. Have you experience any issue like this?
The answer to your question is yes to both. I mainly use the USB connection to play music and video files. I only dabbled with Bluetooth for a short period just to see if the Tesla style radio would pair with my Android phone, which it did. Although I no longer have my Cadillac XTS, I recommend purchasing the Tesla-style radio through Phoenix Automotive.com. It will cost you a little more but they have better customer service.
So you have a data plan through OnStar that the Tesla Display connects to and you are then able to connect all f you apps (Netflix, HULU, Prime Video, TH-camTV etc...) as well as other devices like mobile phones, tablets???
@@rpedroso12 Exactly :) Anyone can buy a hotspot to do this with their car. The onstart promotion for unlimited data right now is pretty cheap. It was $20 a month. Some other brands of these tesla screens claim to have a SIM card slot but I didn't look into that very much.

Great question! Honestly I don't think I lost any functionality. I noticed it takes longer to boot in cold weather.

You don’t need rca to hook up a sub. You just need a line out converter. I recommend audio control lci2.

That is the size :) I went to google chrome on the unit and downloaded the image and then set it as the boot log in the settings :)

Yes it does. Unfortunately, I no longer own the XTS, in which I had the Tesla style radio installed in that model vehicle.

Not sure. I purchased it off of Alibaba.com. Doesn't matter anyway. I sold the Cadillac late last year.
