I listened to it to help me sleep, I ended up paying very close attention because I was impressed with the storytelling and production value. At the time, I didn’t pay much attention to specific creators, but this one stood out to me. Though I didn’t search out more, I enjoyed what I heard and hoped TH-cam would recommend me your channel again. Sure enough, the Survivors series came in my feed and I recognized your voice. One thing led to another and now I’m a dedicated subscriber. So, I have this series to thank for encountering you first. I really enjoy this story and am happy to have seen its conclusion. I come back to this video in particular many times because I love the story and the voice work but I've also recently learnt that I now consider Gwen a comfort character (I mean that as the highest compliment I can give) But I also really find comfort in Lionheart because I'm an empath and the first time I listend to this I didn't fully believe it. I even joked in the begin when she asked them "You would jsut trust me on blind faith?" I responded with "what can I say, I can tell when someone's lying." I don't tell people I'm an empath because I'll get some say "Oh what am I feeling now then?" To which I reply with "I don't always feel what people just because someone say what am I feeling" like it's a magic word or something. I feel emotion in the sense of it's like a thin vail around my body and in specific places I feel that particular emotion. Like for Sadness I'll feel it in my eyes like I want to cry, anxity I will feel it in my chest specifically in my breathing. And people think being an empath is great cause you cna always know how people feel about you, it is awful. I mean half the like I don't know who's emotions are who's and it drives me insane. I've felt the (lack of) emotions from my parents and how it affect me, more so now then when I was growing up because I didn't understand what was going on. And building relationships with other people, oh boy! One part in the video where Gwen says "Why would you do something so stupid?" When Lionheart drinks the posing instead of her, my interpretation of it is she would only know the pain of losing them whereas Lionheart would of felt her die as if they were dying aswell. I've felt grief and death and it's scary yet so comforting I'm sorry for the long comment I've just been debating for awhile if I should leave a comment in general cause I have terrible imposter syndrome and think that everything I do is not real or not good enough or that what I am is fake
I am done, this is too good. The way you are bringing over the emotions just by your voice is incredebile and sends shivers down my spine. Your writing and storytelling is also insane. I dont know what else to say other than keep it up and take care for yourself!
I went into this expecting to sleep and take the immersion enough to actually will a dream for it, but turns out this audio was too gripping and I wanted to be awake for the whole thing! I knew it was a folk-fantasy roleplay, usually I'd shy away from the romance side of things, but nope! This was actually so well made that this is essentially a movie that needs to be made. The writing is quite literally, all there! The world building is incredible, the foreshadowing too, and part 7's big plot twist too explaining the war connection- it was all done really well! But one thing is for certain, is that part 5 has the funniest moment to imagine how it played out physically- it really cracks me up! I did pick up the sort of cliché signal that Lionheart would do that, but it was more funny than I expected, and reading some of these other comments about that particular scene is too hilarious. Thank You, I hope to find more of these incredible stories on this channel! (This is the day after listening to the audio of which I am writing this.)
I've had this on my relaxation for sleep playlist for a while. I'll be honest, i had to move it because the gentle voice and the story itself is something that actually kept me awake because i didn't want to stop following the story. The script itself deserves that much and more. Amazing writing and i love the small "loose ends" that sometimes appear where you can hook other stories into the same universe. Congrats on a great one, can't wait for more of the same.
Really like re-listening to this series especially seeing all the foreshadowing of different events, Also after watching the thief spinoff rp's and how not only did the events of this show in the spinoff but the events of the spinoff also having consequences and effects on the Spellbound series as well.
I've noticed that almost every series starts with the listener character injured. Spellbound, of course starts with us in the immediate aftermath of being grievously injured by a troll. Perilune starts with us surviving a werewolf attack. Survivors has us needing to get a gouge in our side stitched up. Dragon Queen has us taking shelter in a cave after an assassination attempt. Even Crew of Two starts us out having been mutinied and left on a barren planet, in need of rescue. In fact, Surfer Girl is the only series I can think of that doesn't start us out injured or in need of help. Might be why that one feels different from the others with no clear romantic undertones and why Crew of Two takes a bit longer for the feels to come in.
Yeahhhh 🤣 once upon a time I was a beginner at editing and my process was a mess and I grabbed the wrong line from a handful of takes where I was deciding which name sounded better. And then DIDN'T NOTICE until after the full version came out 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️

For some reason I always imagine my ASMR characters(Like me in the ASMR world, when I'm listening to an ASMR RP, if that makes sense) as being mute and using asl to communicate, and I really feel like this works for this story because the speaker is a healer. So in my mind the speaker can understand asl. I also feel like we(the ASMR character) would be able to do a lot of 1 handed signs being part of an adventurers group and probably breaking an arm every once in a while or we can do a very small amount of magic, only enough to like show words, or something like narrates our thoughts when needed, or something similar, when unable to sign(This is how I explain in my mind about how we are able to communicate in the beginning). I also imagining us snapping twice in order to get someone to look at us so that we can sign to them edit: The fact that I'm actually an empath irl is really cool

Hey there. I don't usually comment on TH-cam at all. I usually try to stay under the radar and enjoy what I enjoy, but I feel compelled to, well, thank you. I'll extend this break a little, in case anyone who's still in the middle of the series reads this. I don't want to spoil anything. Also, some personal stuff. I'm an actual Empath. It's something I usually keep secret, unless I'm around my closest friends. I was really, really surprised to hear it brought up during the storyline, then you describing exactly how it works, and how much struggle its holders go through. It's all terribly accurate. Then, you reacting to the listener's true backstory... I'm basically a real life "Lionheart". I won't get into any terrible details, but... So much of it is the same. Instead of status, though image was important to them, my family was obsessed with appearing perfect. Without even knowing, I flew in the face of that. Even as a child, I tried to heal the ancient wounds and cycle of abuse, and all I think I really accomplished was becoming the family scapegoat. It turns out, the first step to fixing a problem is admitting there's a problem in the first place... and they didn't like that. I don't think I ever got any of them past that first step, and as far as I'm concerned, I caused so much pain in the process. Like tearing out a tumor that they didn't want gone. I'm just like Lionheart, in the process of changing his name and starting his journey. Breaking out of everything they were and at the same time, losing everything I own. The only thing I don't plan to lose... is everything left that I am. I struggle every day to believe that this gift isn't a curse. I suppose, in a certain way, it's both. The life Lionheart has now... It's the life I've always wanted to have. A life where I don't have to keep this secret, where I can use my "abilities" for good. Helping lost people find their path and hurt people to heal their wounds and stand again. Surrounded by people who love me for me, instead of being hated for everything I am. In a strange way, although this is hardly unique, I find myself inspired by this series. Just, in my own way. It might sound strange, but it really gives me hope that the sacrifice I'm about to make will end well for me, and for the people I choose to be around. So... Like I said, I just want to thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much.

Really like re-listening to this series especially seeing all the foreshadowing of different events, Also after watching the thief spinoff rp's and how not only did the events of this show in the spinoff but the events of the spinoff also having consequences and effects on the Spellbound series as well.

I've noticed that almost every series starts with the listener character injured.
Spellbound, of course starts with us in the immediate aftermath of being grievously injured by a troll.
Perilune starts with us surviving a werewolf attack.
Survivors has us needing to get a gouge in our side stitched up.
Dragon Queen has us taking shelter in a cave after an assassination attempt.
Even Crew of Two starts us out having been mutinied and left on a barren planet, in need of rescue.
In fact, Surfer Girl is the only series I can think of that doesn't start us out injured or in need of help. Might be why that one feels different from the others with no clear romantic undertones and why Crew of Two takes a bit longer for the feels to come in.
I'll be honest, I just really enjoy doing injured listener audios 😅 It's fun to take care of people!

As soon as it started, you had me singing Scarborough fair
For some reason I always imagine my ASMR characters(Like me in the ASMR world, when I'm listening to an ASMR RP, if that makes sense) as being mute and using asl to communicate, and I really feel like this works for this story because the speaker is a healer. So in my mind the speaker can understand asl. I also feel like we(the ASMR character) would be able to do a lot of 1 handed signs being part of an adventurers group and probably breaking an arm every once in a while or we can do a very small amount of magic, only enough to like show words, or something like narrates our thoughts when needed, or something similar, when unable to sign(This is how I explain in my mind about how we are able to communicate in the beginning). I also imagining us snapping twice in order to get someone to look at us so that we can sign to them
edit: The fact that I'm actually an empath irl is really cool
it also makes a lot of Sense, Cause the Speaker always repeats our Questions as if they are trying to make sure they are answering the right qeustion.

Hey there. I don't usually comment on TH-cam at all. I usually try to stay under the radar and enjoy what I enjoy, but I feel compelled to, well, thank you. I'll extend this break a little, in case anyone who's still in the middle of the series reads this. I don't want to spoil anything. Also, some personal stuff.
I'm an actual Empath. It's something I usually keep secret, unless I'm around my closest friends. I was really, really surprised to hear it brought up during the storyline, then you describing exactly how it works, and how much struggle its holders go through. It's all terribly accurate. Then, you reacting to the listener's true backstory... I'm basically a real life "Lionheart". I won't get into any terrible details, but... So much of it is the same. Instead of status, though image was important to them, my family was obsessed with appearing perfect. Without even knowing, I flew in the face of that. Even as a child, I tried to heal the ancient wounds and cycle of abuse, and all I think I really accomplished was becoming the family scapegoat. It turns out, the first step to fixing a problem is admitting there's a problem in the first place... and they didn't like that. I don't think I ever got any of them past that first step, and as far as I'm concerned, I caused so much pain in the process. Like tearing out a tumor that they didn't want gone.
I'm just like Lionheart, in the process of changing his name and starting his journey. Breaking out of everything they were and at the same time, losing everything I own. The only thing I don't plan to lose... is everything left that I am. I struggle every day to believe that this gift isn't a curse. I suppose, in a certain way, it's both.
The life Lionheart has now... It's the life I've always wanted to have. A life where I don't have to keep this secret, where I can use my "abilities" for good. Helping lost people find their path and hurt people to heal their wounds and stand again. Surrounded by people who love me for me, instead of being hated for everything I am. In a strange way, although this is hardly unique, I find myself inspired by this series. Just, in my own way. It might sound strange, but it really gives me hope that the sacrifice I'm about to make will end well for me, and for the people I choose to be around.
So... Like I said, I just want to thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much.
