The state of Florida just a few months ago banned all student groups supporting Palestine under laws to combat terrorism. The Republican Congressional candidates have pledged to cancel all student visas & deport foreign supporters of Palestine. Even universities in liberal areas like Brandis in Massachusetts have started to ban groups supporting Palestine. At least 100 major US companies have already blacklisted any students who support Palestine from any jobs with their firms.

Look at how the USA suppressed the demonstrations after the killing of George Floyd. Armed soldiers were deployed, 14,000 people were arrested with 19 people being killed & 200 wounded by police.

I am sure you are right about many of the protesters, but far from all. There has been a lot of chantings of support for Hamas ( which has extermination of jews and wonsequently of Israel on I’ts agenda. A lot of protesters has shouted antisemitic slogans and jews have been harrased for quiet some time. The protesters support teachers with arab heritage who are antisemitic in the classroom, even when jewish students attend. The worsest example of course that professor who while lecturing called the murders, rapes, beheadings and hostagetakings oct 7 for awsome, incredible fantastic.
Unlike in arabia people in the US and most of Europe, are allowed to demonstrate and express their wiews. The police will not torture them and then let them disappear for ever like in for example Iran ( or in Gaza under Hamas rule). But it should not be allowed at the university and not through an occupation of land.

Wait a minute. I was one of the students who started the Coalition Against Apartheid in South Africa at Columbia, in 1980. It wasn't until 1985, when the students blocked registration at Hamilton Hall and they got arrested, which is when Yale University started to protest. It was Yale that first divested their 6 million dollar investment. Later Columbia also divested its 100 million dollar investment.
You are aware that the fruit of your effort is more than 22,000 murders annually in South Africa today under the ANC and electricity off on most days.
But in that case you were correct, in this case the students are on the wrong side.

For the general election, I'm voting for Libertarian for president, Senator and Representatives. Simply, they have ballot access, and the candidates support peace in Gaza. I'm against Libertarian economics, except, they have a good position on removing the IRS, that Americans will like. There's no lesser of evils between The Republican and Democratic presidential nominees, plus RFK. Green party and Cornel West have baggage, and Stein may be an evil as well.
Voting uncommitted will give you Trump, but that will benefit Israel, so go for it 👍

When Johnson went and made his speech he suggested calling in the National Guard. If they wait 9 days to call in the National Guard they can celebrate the 54th anniversary of calling in the National Guard to deal with anti-war protests at Kent State University by calling in the National Guard.

As a US citizen currently working for a university in Germany, I can confirm what he is saying about the suppression of pro-Palestinian voices on campuses here. It is utterly disgraceful, regardless of how well-intentioned they [German university admin officials] believe themselves to be.
As a person living in Germany you must know there is a large Turkish population. And Turkish politics play out in Germany. Isn't it wise for the Germans to discourage this?

@VOLightPortal I think the students fighting for civil rights in the late 60s had a positive impact, and their influence spread beyond the US...this looks like it could be the 2024 version, rights for Palestinians, they've been suppressed for far too long.

There are so many analogies to Germany in the thirties and forties and I can't understand how a people that went through those horrors would be prepared to inflict the same on others. I think who has forgotten about them is the Israel government, don’t understand how a government that has occupied Gaza for years cannot find a group of people. Especially being backed up by US army to find them.. Maybe the Israel government is to preoccupied killing people with the excuse everyone in Gaza is a terrorist.

The whole situation is FUBAR, and has always been FUBAR in the part of the world since the dawn of civilization. While I still hold out hope for a 2 state solution, it’s doubtful that it’ll ever occur in our lifetime. Too much hatred on both sides.
I think you would find if you check your history books a little more carefully you would find that Arabs and Jews lived in peace and harmony throughout the middle-east before the advent of Zeeonism. Whereas it was continuous FUBAR with regular pogroms and prejudice across Europe and America.
