What a wonderful video of Joop. So nice to watch a star from the 1970s-80s era. I remember watching the Tour de France on TV back in 1977. I¨ve watched so many races with Joop Zoetemelk.
I had the original 5 speed version of that bike, covered thousands of miles on it when i was younger, recently restored and upgraded it with modern shifters and upped it to 14 speed, still an awesome bike to ride.
One of my hero’s when I was racing ! One of the big big names ! One of my hero’s ! I even had a Raleigh To be like him ! And later a Peugeot to be like thevenet! Gréât gréât memories ! I’m even learning Dutch now so I can try to follow the interviews of the great Dutch riders , but for the moment they speak too fast for my level of Dutch , so many great great Dutch riders !
In 1980 when I was 15, my best friend in high school got the "consumer version" of that bike, I was sooooo jealous, but also so glad for him. It looks iconic
753 wow ! That is a really tasteful tribute to the original. I always wanted a 753 back in the day
Ti Raleigh ...... I can afford to own one now that I am well past my mid 50s! I couldnt buy one of these back in the day when i raced. So glad to get the chance to own a new one now. Fresh paint , dont have to worry about it maybe being crashed. Better late than never is true for me! I appreciate the changes that had to be made to produce this bike in 2020, it was a great surprise for me to stumble across the 2020 bike. I wasnt going to miss the chance this time ........ it puts a smile on my face , thats what its about for me.
Eu tenho uma Raleigh Technium 1987 na minha coleção. Bicicleta fantástica! É um prazer andar nessa jóia! Obrigado Joop Zoetemelk pela sua contribuição no ciclismo mundial.
Missing the mavic grey rims gp4 like mine had !
Very very cool!
Lot of " not nice" comments here! hope its NOT about Joop, ! he put the miles , time and effort B4 his TDF victory, he of all people is entitled to be an Ambassador for Raleigh products.
Beautiful bike and racing legend.
That old boy still moves beautifully on a bike
Would rather have a 753 original
Good day! I would like to contact Joop Zoetemelk. Most likely his bicycle fell into my hands, and I would like him to either confirm or deny my assumption (I can provide a photo). I apologize in advance for the accuracy of the translation, I'm not strong in English.
Good old Joop! I hear he now makes a cologne/aftershave for men. 😂
I hear you made a Tesla coil?
The reproduction is an insult to the original. See why here- th-cam.com/video/QS7W5mlWzQ8/w-d-xo.html
Zit er campagnolo super record op
It's a VERY poor copy - the frame "ends" are a disgrace. And the chainset belongs on a $400 bike.
🥱
Well Joop seems to like it well enough.
Yes i dont know how they can charge €3000 for a bike not worth €1000. Its cheaper buy a ti Raleigh from the 80s!
@@worldofameiso5491 He's paid to "like it" and endorse it mate. Have a word with yourself.
@@stevecooper7038 I had a word with myself and that word was, ignore.
