Thank you to everyone that voted in this month's poll. Most of you asked for one long Whistler video, but I found that it was taking way too long to edit that much footage, so you get the next best thing - two videos! Watch for part two next week.
@WolfPack Same here. Sadly I'm too fat to ride a bike and being nearly 33 and almost 400lbs. I couldn't imagine ever being healthy enough to do this. But I watch anyways and it gets me really excited and I feel like I'm there. Helps a lot with my depression.
@@mizomint4197 it’s ok bro it’s NEVER too late to change it, start with little thing like eating healthier and doing exercise, doesn’t matter how much, any exercise help a lot! 😁
@@mizomint4197 my heart goes out to you my friend, it's a tough place to be, when I was younger I was around 300lbs and it was hard. Ultimately I got lucky and found a thing that I really liked to do, it was actually Dance dance revolution haha, but I played the hell out of it, made it a goal to work towards improving at and before too long things started to improve. Biking is one of those incredible sports that works for me now for the same reasons DDR did for me then, it's because it's only ever you and the bike. You against yourself. No need to compare yourself to others, just go on your own journey. It can be brutally hard, but if you have the drive to get better it stops being about exercise and weight loss and starts being about doing a thing you love! You gotta live your life! Whether that's on or off the bike is up to you, but know that there is no more supportive community and the experiences riding a bike can provide for you are unlike anything else. Much love!
I am curious I don't know if you will respond or not but what equipment do you take with you? (Other than your bike of course) First aid kit? Gun? Knife? Sandwich? Cocaine? Those last two were a joke but still very curious.
Lot's of great Whistler Bike Park videos getting posted lately. Some of them have literally been frightening in terms of the risk that riders are taking. WBP rewards hard-charging riders with more laps, so I get it. That said, great to see you keeping it sane Dave. You're finessing stuff that other riders avoid or bludgeon at speed. As for the big air some riders are getting, consider these sage words from Whistler legend Jim McKonkey: "You want big air? Pull my finger."
Watched a load of Whistler videos, recognized/knew 3 of the trails in your video, good job showing all the other stuff besides all the big, bermed out stuff you usually see, gives me some hope if I ever venture there. 100% agree with you, not a fan of trails like A-Line etc, big, bermed out stuff with high speed and big jumps, much prefer slow(er), more tech.
When you talked about not being able to make jumps on the A-line and preferring the janky trails - I gotta say I actually love the videos that you take on the weird, technical, off-beat trails. I don't know much about this sport, but I love your videos. And the paths you take are a really cool part of them!
Great video like always! And those jumps on A-line were pretty good! I also like seeing you go through some of the less common lines that you don’t really see other TH-camr’s take. Most of the lines you rode in this video I never heard of before! Much less seen before! So thanks for that bro!
It's ok Dave, I for one don't care about your A-Line performance. If I wanted to watch someone clearing A-Line (yawn), every other TH-camr and their mother has made half a dozen videos of it already. We watch you for your particular skillset and riding style, which is unique among any other TH-camr I've found, and in my opinion is far more interesting. Here's to another season of slippery Northshore skinnies!
Thank you for this video. I very like see other trail from Whistler than: A-line, Dirt Merchant Clown Shoes, etc Ok, They are nice, but not the ONLY trail on the map. Other trail is worth seeing / doing.
Great video. It’s cool to see other trails at Whistler on video besides A-Line. I admire your skill in these videos. Highly technical trails still scare the crap out of me.
Oh man, I'm watching on a big monitor and when you hit the tree I had a physical reaction trying to not smash my face! I had to pause the video and shake it off a bit, haha. Nice video, thanks for posting it.
Lol, DD said he's not good on A-Line, where is that vid of him flying down A-Line from a few months back. You sell yourself short, even on flowy, jump trails, the skills are apparent. Will agree that watching you, DS and VanCan tackle gnar, is much more entertaining. Shred on, Sir, Shred on!
Amazing vid as usual. Also, you talking about your name made me realize you changed it from ddangerous ddave. I guess that other trail really did knock a couple d's out lol (referring to a comment from a previous video)
I could never keep up even remotely but I like to see if I could even ride some of the trails and features you guys do. Then I saw captain safety and crapped my pants. Looks scary to walk down . I guess if it was bone dry, maybe, but what do you even do to get down that clean?
@Dangerous Dave :: You got any Trialsin Footage from Whistler? You still crushin it on a Mod like always? Would love to see some of that in the mix with the trail riding, just kinda showcasing your well-roundedness as a rider. I'm happy to see you're still going strong; I rarely get my Mod out anymore, I'm almost scared of it now with age.
I'm thinking you were a bit hard on yourself there. Doesn't sound like you ride there that often, so it's hard to gage your speed when you don't know what's coming up. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to part duex
Man i wna ride here someday it looks so awesome great video looks like you had a great tour guide with van can 🤘 You can try fog spray for the goggles it works well i do a lot of atv cross country racing so clear vision is key w weather fogging goggles can be a nightmare i use the scott spray i just spray it on before using them and it really does the trick.
Yo Dave, I live about an hour north of los Angeles, 8kn Ventura county. Do you, or anyone now any good places to ride? I have always wanted to do mountain bikeing, but Idont knkw it I live near a good spot.
@@brettconner3450 No problem, it has so many trails that I’ve never heard of either and you can Look at the pictures and reviews to see what the trail is like.
No offence to your riding partner Nic (whose channel I also subscribe to!), but I like that you guys rode a lot of non-jump trails! and I suspect those trail decisions had a lot to do with your once a year visit! Having never been, and seeing so much A-line stuff from the bike park, I wasn’t sure that there was much other than jump trails. Nice to see there is!
It's funny, watching your line choices, knowing "GoPro Effect" is a thing. It's like you're thinking, "I don't wanna drop wy wheel into THAT hole, but that other, equally sketchy hole looks good", or, "Nope! not that rooty, off-camber section, I'll try THAT rooty, off-camber section"!

Dual slalom world champion 🏆
You were DQ'd for a false start on the second run
Say what you will about your jumping prowess, DD, you're still smooth as silk on the landings. Thanks for another excellent video, man.

your jumping is so much better than you give yourself credit for if it was me i would be terrified to even ride them let alone attempt to jump lol
I love how you jump around with your back wheel on sharp turns, I can't manage that for the life of me. Awesome vids man!

I’m on the edge of my seat watching your rides…great vids.
Fun video. On No Joke when you put tire on tree trunk, i pictured you going vertical up the tree. haha
Another Great Video!! Having VanCan with u is a bonus!!
7:12, I had no idea they got rid of the A-Line Gate! It was such an icon there at Whistler
Wow Nice one
Looking forward to part 2👌👌👌💥💥💥
Can't wait to watch when I get off work today. Thanks for the upload!
Great place! Loved the rock face but too many roots up there for me.
No Joke with the Sevens, what an amazing line.
They need freight containers next to the A-Line jumps for scale. Those are no joke to clear!
Sabretooth Horse was my favourite footage in this one. 🦷🐴

Hey dave, can you do a vid about your gopro and audio setup?
Thanks Dave for making my request come true!
No doubt the best laugh on youtube.
This man's channel growth since july has been incredible- from 3k to 70k.
And the name change ddangerous dave to Dangerous Dave
That sudden stop at the tree made me lurch forward as if the momentum was pushing me as well 🤣
enjoyed every second of it! thx for sharing!

First I've ever seen anyone ride Sabretooth Horse on video. Great stuff 👏
You killed it bro. I'd feel so incompetent next to Nick.
Just think, one of those mountains in the distance when enjoying the view, foresty forest has probably climbed
I had a bike crash a couple weeks ago so I’m to scared to ride so I enjoy watching your videos
Damn, this dude got all the skill a rider can dream !

You cleared like 25 or more on Aline alone... Pretty good, I could never do that!
My heart, when you guys go extremely fast ❤️💥🔫
2:58 sick line! I know that's WAY steeper in real life.
Is that a little brake Turkey gobble I hear?? Had that problem a month or two ago.
Original Sin is one of my favorites.
Clever use of the rock at 6:20
Hei just got an moutain bike and it rides smoother than a cadillac i love it
Wish I could ride like that :(
Have you ridden around Buntzen Lake? It's pre good technically and just in general
What fender do you use on your lyric?! Is it a bolt on?!
Mudhugger Evo with zip ties.
Did you hit that tree at the end of your opener?
Nope, luckily stopped justttt before it

Yes it does!

omg a whole 20 minutes yess
Love watching these videos, makes me want to pick up biking, even though I know I’d eat shit for the first year or so 😂
Eating shits all part of the fun, get up wipe yourself off
That's how we learn bro! (I am picking mine up this Friday and i'm so freakin excited)

Nah, That's the other timeline
This was footage from another day right?
What kinda bike is this dope af
wow so expensive to go there I was curious
Nice
Is it a requirement to go so fast or could a beginner go slower?
