Mine is just like the one in the link, but I had to shave it about 1/2" of the top and bottom. Before shaving it, the holes would not line up. That extra material was preventing me from inserting it all the way in. The car in question is a 1985 Buick LeSabre. @@BpMarcus2

Ok 👍🏾 never tried it that way. As long as you can get a even punch on that pin. It’ll work.

@ClevertymeZ I got a 88 9c1 caprice mines lines right up. I had a lil space between the shifter and the column but not too where it was noticeable.
