- I was able to secure the long sold out Legendary Beast / XM Studios 1/3 scale Captain America thanks to my friend Benjamin Toh at Cosmic Chase Collectibles (i.refs.cc/1hSth.... This guy was still pretty expensive, with a retail price of $1200 + shipping! But this guy is a monster being a 1/3 scale statue. Incredible piece to compliment the crown jewel of my CGC comic book collection, Captain America Comics #1!

Thanks! It was one of the Marvel (Timely) keys missing from my collection for the longest time. Wasn't sure owning it was in the cards. With the way prices are going, 2.5 is probably the highest grade I'm ever going to see with this one! 😄

I enjoy your particular reviews. I like how you go over the pieces (the close-ups helps), assembly, statue stats, history, and then go over the details. I'm not the biggest Captain America Fan, but there's no denying how beautiful this statue turned out. The coloring and textures are flawless. Its too bad the other Torso didn't come with a stand. Are you getting the Legendary Thor (I love the base on that one) and Magneto too?
bigphatpaulie Thanks! I try to be as thorough as possible. The other 1/3 pieces look great. Definitely tempted to pick them up. The size is a concern (running out of display space) and already have a couple Thors and Magnetos. We’ll see...😁
@@evantube I understand. I'm actually getting my first 1/3 scale this week and have that Spawn Statue on order too. So much good stuff out there. Its not the statues that take up space, but the boxes too. The Prime 1 Venom and New 52 Batman take up the spotlight and also the real estate. I can only imagine (and kind of concerned) the impressions Knightfall Batman and Spawn are going to make but at the same time, excited to check them out.
