I agree. I tend to ignore team-up episodes (and team-up movies from Super Sentai) that involve old villains returning because I feel it deters their defeat in the original season. I can see why they would use old villains so they can get the previous heroes involved, but I just don't find their defeat in the team-up episode as powerful (except for the Psycho Rangers).
