I love how much individual personality is still evident even on spiders. I'm amazed how some jumping spiders will be immediately calm when being handled and even start grooming themselves, while others would rather be miles away. It's just a little crazy to me to see that kind of variation from something with a brain the size of a poppy seed.

"I don't want to hurt the spider" Yeah, you just want to destroy its home suddenly and without warning. Oh and don't forget scaring the crap out of it by shaking it violently How would you feel if you were just chilling in your living room and a ran a wrecking back through it, or a swat team kicks in your door and drags you out of the bed you were sound asleep in and had done absolutely nothing wrong? You could have just teased it out to film with no harm and no destruction. Fairly easy to do with trapdoor spiders if you have just a little patience. There was absolutely no reason or need to destroy its home as you already found an abandoned one to show. This was informative for many people, true enough-but also extremely cruel.

Trap door spiders are way more versatile and clever than people give credit too. The can rebuild in a day or two depending on where they want to build it. You cannot review/study a spider when its hiding and they will not come out unless you break open their trap or another reason which forces the spider out.
