Colonially that bridge (and other places) are named after "Adam" because the Abrahamic faith ppl (Europeans + Arabic) who came to Sri Lanka believe that when Adam was expelled from Garden of Eden .. he first landed on earth at Sri Lanka .. and crossed that bridge into India. local ppl of Indic (Dharmic) Faith call it "Ram-Setu" bcz they believe that bridge was built by Lord Ram as per the epic "Ramayana" ... Like how biblical legends are popular in WEST .. similarily Ramayan & Mahabharata are super popular in many countries in Asia .. specially South Asia & South-East Asia.

Bodhiya is the “bo tree”. Dagaba is the correct word. “Kaluthara bodhiya is not about the dagaba. It’s the බෝ ගස. There are 3 Bo trees that didn’t destroy from the huge flood in 1947 even though the trees are on the edge of the rivers. 2 of them are Kaluthara bodhiya and Gatambe bodhiya. I’m sorry I don’t remember the other one. That’s why people starts to worship those trees.

The population percentages…not sure where you got the data, but Moors are not Tamil, but Muslims….there’s around 15% Tamils and around 9% Muslims, 75% Sinhalese and the rest are Burghers etc.
The Younger generation is cool with Buddhist tattoos, They understand you get them out of respect or love but the older generation do not get that to them tattoos are just wrong 👍
