The tiny things, no pun intended, like sand fleas (not the crustacean), mosquitoes etc, are one thing most aren’t ready for. You have to really know what you are doing.

The island, from the drone shot, seems to have zero trees (palms) and WTF did they get coconuts???? Shade? Fire wood??? Also, Les Stroud - SurvivorMan can be fairly fun, though often much less aquatic! Also, no way I could "live" on a 17' Salty Dingo ... survive, probably - presuming enough cover from the Sun and sufficient drinking water - yet that is not what I ever want to "live" or camp for more than 3 days on.

Struck & Fran another great show, but after watching those sharks vapourize the dogtooth tuna your words I think , you must think about if things went wrong you could actually disappear within minutes . Didn’t want to be so blunt but i suppose that’s what makes it one of the best programs on TH-cam.

Sorry to hear Fran suffering from wisdom tooth pain , if you got any raw garlic , just nibble on a small piece and let the garlic bits rub around the gums near that sore tooth , can help alleviate the pain . Wow that was really cool, that's a scary amount of fish and sharky's! Shame you lost that first tuna, but quite educational on how quick those sharks are on your catch! Seems like a small water maker would be a good idea, have you seen the Katadyn Survivor 35 LS or any other similar products? Perhaps there is an opportunity for a smaller device....

Modern day medical conveniences are only convenient as long we are close to modern facilities. A tooth ache can rapidly turn into something dangerous and needs a minimum of preparation for mouth problems. Listerine, clove oil (if you know how to prepare and use it), and Numzit Gel (I don't know if this is available in Australia). These should be carried and replenished as they expire or are used. EpiPins or oral antihistamines also should always be carried even if you have no known allergies. You should also learn to check for appendicitis. Relying on emergency medical services especially when you are far away isn't the best option.
Storing the rest of the left over fish it in salt would preserve it for salted fish ... More so if u dug a whole in the sand and salt it and bury it it dries up in a couple of days
