I have both. For me, the P17 is more reliable and more accurate. Both great .22s

Ok, Think I will stay with my P17 and I liked it so much, I bought another one 4 months later! I have over 1000 rounds through both guns and Never had any malfunctions at all except a few Dud Rounds! I shoot only CCI MINI Mags, 40 grain, copper Clad Bullets! Great shooting guns with that fixed barrel and great trigger!

I've thrown federal, CCI, Aguila, Remington...all in my p17 and it eats pretty much everything. Shot 100's and 100's of rounds through it and only a couple malfunctions so I can't complain!

After a few hundred rounds, the p 17 has really smoothed out for us.

Aguila Super Extra 40 grain HV and CCI 40 grain Minimags run flawlessly in my wife's P17. She confiscated it. She will allow me to shoot a mag or 2 if I help her reload. I have another on order. CT red dot and slide from Keltec waiting on my bench. I have a good bit of Winchester 22lr on hand and only shoot it in the manually operated guns.

Great family review! I have the P17 for about a year and just installed the factory slide with the Crimson Trace optic. Love it even more. Keep 'em coming!

winchester .22's suck big time..cci mini maf all the way, worth every penny.p17 ! best deal out there. using old sticky crap doesnt help.

    Why i like the P17
    15 ounces with 17 rounds
The mag is dummy proof so you cant load the rounds wrong unlike the P322 if you load them wrong will lead to failures.
I can swap the red dot slide back to the oem slide in seconds if need be.
So edc i would use the iron sight slide, then at the range, swap to the red dot slide.
And the P17 is $200 as low as $179 when on sale vs $400 for the P322

With that many malfunctions on the p17 you need to send it back to be worked on. It’s free and covered 100% by warranty. They will pay for 2-day shipping all you have to do is send it to em and wait to get it back. I was really impressed with their customer service as well. I didn’t have to wait on hold and the lady I spoke to was extremely helpful and professional not to mention kind and sweet.

  • @KellygenXYZ

I own both of these guns and really like both of them, but I wind up shooting the p17 a lot more because, with good ammo, it never has any problems. I have gone out and put 1000 rounds through it with no problems unless I get a dud bullet. The sig is a little more prone to jamming. P17's also a breeze to clean and for me, more accurate. I'm 6'6" with a big hand - p17 feels better for a large hand. Back in the day, I use to chuckle at Keltec, now I have 3 that I love - sub-2000 which is just plain fun, pmr30 22 mag, which runs high velocity ammo with such accuracy I can get a 1 inch grouping at 75 yards, and the p17 which is as accurate as I could hope fror a little concealable and doesn't feel like a small gun in my hand.

  • @gunmonkey6545
    @gunmonkey6545 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Everyone, please stop using Winchester 22 ammo. If nobody buys it they will stop making their junk.
I chose the P17 just on its reputation vs the Sig, and I have not been disappointed. It runs everything I put throughout (not Winchester). The P17 has much better reviews and it’s cheaper.

I stopped buying Winchester ammo years ago because it was garbage I only shoot Remington cci aguila, the new Remington golden bullets in the bucket are very good bulk 22lr now since they were bought by a new company seems like the quality is back

P 17 just because it’s the one I have. It’s at a good price. Super light. 3 mags. Put a compensator on it just because I could. And it’s so ugly that it’s beautiful type of deal. Glad I got one.

I have no time with the P17. But I had the Sig and had leading issues bad after 30 rds. Sig finally after 7 months of me sending in and not happy they took gun back and refunded me. Tools and Target channel had same issues with Sig

We have not had leading issues yet. We do bore brush it after every trip to the range. Sorry your P322 didn't work out. We do like our p17. It didn't start that way for me, but it grew on me.

It was actually painful to watch how many problems you had with the P17. This pistol seems to perform much better in all the other TH-cam videos I’ve watched - and that’s a LOT of them.

I do not have a Sig p322 I did have a Walther P22 and a Kei tec p 17. I like the P17 more than the P22. The only thing I have about the P17 is it's very ammo picky it's picky with ammo. The ammo I have had no issues with in it are Aguila 49 high velocity and Armscore 36 grain high velocity and Remington golden bullet

In any review of any 22 I don’t get too excited with a hiccup or two. 22 ammo can be very finicky indeed. I think you reviewed both firearms very fairly. I do like the simplicity of the P17. There is a difference in price, but in the scheme of things it’s really not significant. For me I like the P17. BTW I own two of them. Cheers!

I own the keltec p17 love it have shot several hundred rounds with various ammo standard velocity and high velocity maybe a couple feeding issues and light primer strikes but overall the gun preforms great you can pick one up now at Grabagun for $180 comes with 3 -16 round mags great value 👍

Great video guys! I have the Keltec P17 recently adding the factory red dot with matching slide. I might have about 2000 rounds through it. I certainly find it runs well with CCI Mini-Mag ammo, and can be unreliable with other brands. Although when it dirty the slide doesn’t always take a round into battery so you have to bump the rear of the slide. Your video sure makes me want to try the P322!

I would be tempted to lean towards the P17, if it came with an optics ready slide. I believe I like the P322; yes, it's ammo finicky, and you really need to load the magazines carefully, as well as clean the barrel frequently, but otherwise it just seems to be the better of the two.
Kel Tec, put an optics ready slide on the P17, and we'll talk.
P.S. Replace the fiber optics on either the front or back of the P322, and you should have less problems sighting the irons. Suggestion: red fiber optics on the back and green up front; but I'm not an optometrist, so that's up to you.

The P17 has a dummy proof mag and loads like a center fire. Cant load them wrong at all. The P322 and the TX22 you CAN load them wrong which will cause failures.
I have the red dot slide on my P17 and i like it. I also like the fact that i can swap the red dot slide out for the iron sight in seconds if need be. For your edc, i would use the iron sight slide because the red dot is not in the way, when i go to the range, i put the red dot on.
Cant do that with any other gun. If your red dot fails, you can't use the iron sights unless its designed to co-witness.
But this P17 with cci mini mags, it runs GOOD
