I got to kearn who Hongjoong was over the past year and a half....I learned that he has a mild temper, that he is a musical genious, I learned that he works his ass off every single day and has for so long. I learned that he loves, adores, and protects his members at all times. Yes, they make him crazy, but he loves them none the less. He is a Rap God, and he is very emotional but hates to show it when he is sad. I learned that he often doesnt go home, he spends so much time in the studio that he ends up sleeping there most of the time. I learned that he gives his all in everything he does. I learned that he is an amazing leader, and even though he messes up sometimes he tries so hard everyday. So I love him and admire him for everything he has. and everything he doesnt. I love how much he cares, and I want to be like him. I truly hope, that he stays healthy, and that nothing ever happens to him. I know he is stressed and tired, I just want him to rest more often, he deserves so much. I love Ateez and I always will.

Agreed with everything you said. He is such an admirable person. With the talent he has, he is also very humble, takes accountability as appropriate; he takes time to learn about global issues, gives voices to those in need, fights for good causes. He is known to give his thanks (flowers and hand written letter) to Eden during teachers appreciation month, promotes others outside of Ateez (Maddox, and other groups they went on shows with). On top of that he is also very witty and humorous. He is truly one of the best K-pop leaders.

I really like hongjoong as a leader. He is really different from other K-pop leaders out there, he seems stricter than most but also more approachable and down to earth than them. He doesn’t mind being laughed at and would even joke around with the members by sacrificing his own pride and dignity. His leadership style is really cool - he lets members have fun but at the same time when it’s time to be serious he expects everybody to put in their 100% effort and discipline them as needed. From what members have said, he is also very motivational and encourage them to do more and be more confident. I really think he is one of the best K-pop leaders out there
