But with their talent, if they can find a year provider who can give them a server to work on I guarantee you especially if SM2 works with them, it, they could make something beautiful. Itself, but I hate to say it the way that they're acting, they don't deserve my money. They don't deserve anyone time. And I am a big college fan boy, I just love the franchise. But I'm afraid every day I'm gonna lose my favorite game Black Ops, 2 Because I can't play It on steam. Even I owned the game. I have to go on plutonium because no one plays on steam. This way, tuning hacker, so no one plays. They all go on plutonium now and I'm afraid that I'm going to lose that and if I lose that I'm gonna lose my mind. So please, we need to give Tray, art, some competition and all you ex developers. You can give treyar competition, cause you know how to make a game that the people want. I won't ask them too more than anything. I will pay it a $100 for that game. its hilarious to me that i bought MWR and downloaded it for H2M activision tried to get rid of H2M, i successfully got a refund and now im playing H2M via the download of the already refunded game so im still playing h2m and activision didnt get a cent a small bit of poetic justice in my eyes

there isnt a direct person or team, this is pretty much someone hosting games in a server and opened it to those who have the mod. they can track it and if it is a service shut it down but if it is a personal one they have to find him first.

The devs totally knew what was going to happen and had a backup plan to drop a leak when it happened. I can feel it. When the C&D was announced i said there would be a leak shortly after theres a leak with full instructions? Nah its too perfect to be a random person leaking it. The devs were 100% in on the whole thing

I think in the discord they release patches, and most of the official server hosts (maniaco and namelessnoob for example) have have their own anti cheat

One of the biggest things that hurts the most to see to be honest is the numerous big time creators all dropping videos on how its gone and now they wont be playing it because Activision is lining their pockets. Thats literally what Activision is relying on. So many creators have been bought out and its honestly so sad.
We just need an updated service so we don't get disabanding lobbies and more servers because literally I'm playing in high ping servers and the issue with that is I'm getting melted in like one or two shots and I'm using like half a mag to kill someone other than that it's bloody great
V3nilla is doing updates and already fixed the server browser so hopefully they'll update it enough to fix it since there are other issues like the chopper gunner being basically unusable and commando pro/knifing in general doesn't seem to be working.

As a console gamer, I am seriously happy for the PC community for saving and playing this beloved mod :) Imagine what the reaction of the higher-ups at Activision and Microsoft is...yeah they really are pissed. But like the community just wanted a simple remaster, and just because it may split the player base doesent necessarily mean that no revenue will come to their doors. I read a comment on Jev's video and I will type something similar here as well. The theory as to why they didn't make MW2 Remastered multiplayer is because that would greatly impact the sales of future CoD releases, leading to a theoretical long-term loss of income. This is also why they probably wanted this to be shut down as well because it would impact the sales of Black Ops 6. They refuse to give the community something they've always wanted due to greed. With this theory, Black Ops 1 - 3 will probably never see a remake. Edit: I, before learning about this mod, pre-ordered Black Ops 6 (which I will refund if possible), but to those who haven't, this is your time to fight against the injustice made my Activision. Do NOT buy a copy of Black Ops 6, the decrease of sales after this drama could potentially lead them to re-evaluate their decisions. We as a community are far stronger than a team of publishers. @@MintyHyena my brother in cod, look at Plutonium client, or Cod4X / IW4x, and the fact that H2M support pirated / unlicensed copy just like the clients i mentioned will make it essentially immortal, 75% of people in the world don't have luxury to buy latest hardware and games, IDK about it nowadays, but i once checked cod4x back during lockdown and it's still filled with 30 to 60 people in atleast 100+ servers, it's a big number for a game released from 2007

I love how the community of this mod are embraced together and enjoying themselves. For me am not a fan of multiplayer fps as I bought it for the campaign to understand the stories of this franchise. But I would suggest cooling their heels as to saying it's safe to play. It's just a matter of time before hackers/cheaters start showing up in this version. Not to rain on anybody parade....I really wish you all a safe and prosperous journey playing this mod.

@@primemachine146 files i have been shared online , not by the dev's , but by peaple who played it . since the C&C , the devs cant tuch it anymore, but since the files where shared , peaple have been able to download the game , and server hosters have bought some , so you can actualy play the game . you will never see a update for it , but actvision cant do anithing if peaple online spread the files , so yes you can play the game , even if you are not suposed to
they could, however: A - most players are using pirated copies now because it's compatible B - even if they updated MWR to break H2M, downgraders exist, if all else fails it goes back to my first point

Honestly, I ain't going to use this mod unless the OG team behind is taking control of the mod. I dont feel safe at all using it without them; the OG devs of H2M.
This is so awesome to see but I also have some very real concerns about this... In the US, you can be sued (and even held liable) for copyright infringement even if it's unintentional. The developers might have complied with the C&D order, but I'm worried that they might still get into legal trouble for this since they were the ones who originally made / released the assets, whether they were leaked or not. I'm hoping for the best, but knowing how ruthless Activision's legal team is I'm not so sure...
They’ve got nothing to do with the files being leaked, if they distributed the mod after they received the C&D then yes they’d get sued up the ass but people leaking the files isn’t on them
I never got to experience the original cods when I was younger due to never having reliable Internet or Xbox live, and I genuinely considered buying mwr for this mod. But here we are.

The files are still out in the open so this will be the equivalent of activision fighting the taliban if they want to wage some war on this lol. People will keep making discords, hosting servers, and sharing the files however they can.
I actually disagree, it's the same reason that the other clients felt so dry and repetitive - the grind for clips is what make it fun, play it like it's a newly released game and enjoy it for what it is. Not everyone will agree with me and I do get it but we don't know if we will ever get this chance again.

The theory as to why they didn't make MW2 Remastered multiplayer is because that would greatly impact the sales of future CoD releases, leading to a theoretical long-term loss of income.
This is also why they probably wanted this to be shut down as well because it would impact the sales of Black Ops 6.
They refuse to give the community something they've always wanted due to greed.
With this theory, Black Ops 1 - 3 will probably never see a remake.
Edit: I, before learning about this mod, pre-ordered Black Ops 6 (which I will refund if possible), but to those who haven't, this is your time to fight against the injustice made my Activision. Do NOT buy a copy of Black Ops 6, the decrease of sales after this drama could potentially lead them to re-evaluate their decisions. We as a community are far stronger than a team of publishers. @@MintyHyena my brother in cod, look at Plutonium client, or Cod4X / IW4x, and the fact that H2M support pirated / unlicensed copy just like the clients i mentioned will make it essentially immortal, 75% of people in the world don't have luxury to buy latest hardware and games, IDK about it nowadays, but i once checked cod4x back during lockdown and it's still filled with 30 to 60 people in atleast 100+ servers, it's a big number for a game released from 2007

I love how the community of this mod are embraced together and enjoying themselves. For me am not a fan of multiplayer fps as I bought it for the campaign to understand the stories of this franchise. But I would suggest cooling their heels as to saying it's safe to play. It's just a matter of time before hackers/cheaters start showing up in this version. Not to rain on anybody parade....I really wish you all a safe and prosperous journey playing this mod.

since the C&C , the devs cant tuch it anymore, but since the files where shared , peaple have been able to download the game , and server hosters have bought some , so you can actualy play the game . you will never see a update for it , but actvision cant do anithing if peaple online spread the files , so yes you can play the game , even if you are not suposed to

This isn't using the Steam game anymore. You can get the game from anywhere and have local files.

B - even if they updated MWR to break H2M, downgraders exist, if all else fails it goes back to my first point

In the US, you can be sued (and even held liable) for copyright infringement even if it's unintentional. The developers might have complied with the C&D order, but I'm worried that they might still get into legal trouble for this since they were the ones who originally made / released the assets, whether they were leaked or not. I'm hoping for the best, but knowing how ruthless Activision's legal team is I'm not so sure...

I actually disagree, it's the same reason that the other clients felt so dry and repetitive - the grind for clips is what make it fun, play it like it's a newly released game and enjoy it for what it is. Not everyone will agree with me and I do get it but we don't know if we will ever get this chance again.
