After Two Years Of Dating, My girlfriend Uninvited Me From Thanksgiving Because Her Real boyfriend Was Coming Back To Announce Their Engagement. Thanksgiving has always been a tricky time for me. A holiday filled with commercials of happy families sitting around a table that felt like a cruel reminder of what I never had. My dad, a consultant constantly jet setting around the globe, had always prioritized work over family. My mom remarried and immersed in her new family. Didn't have much space for me either. Holidays usually meant microwave meals in my apartment, scrolling through Instagram, pretending the solitude didn't bother me. So when Carolina, my girlfriend Lily's mother, invited me to their family's Thanksgiving dinner, it felt like a dream come true. She pulled me aside after one of their boisterous Sunday dinners, her hands clasping mine warmly. Max, we'd love for you to join us for Thanksgiving this year. It's a family tradition, and it wouldn't feel right without you.

That's what I've been saying. These stories have started to feel like AI being trained on AI writings. They are getting more and more detailed and at this point are so clearly fake I can't take them even slightly seriously.

How a story is told either keeps the reader/listener invested, or has them bored so they click away from the video.
@Stephen_Hendrie Right but that's only important when things are just stories. Experiences are not stories to the person talking about them. People don't add flavor to a negative experience that has just happened to them because they don't care about keeping people invested, they just need to vent about it. When you are telling someone about the night you found out your girlfriend was cheating on you, do you write about "the crisp air surrounding you"? No, you couldn't care less about the reader/listener being invested, you only care about the hurt you feel and the need to get it out.
@@thewheelsman29 You'd need to be somewhat mentally immature to not be able to correctly handle a situation where she's cheating or believe that people type things on Reddit for anything other than getting those little badges of validation, (like gold and silver and what not) and not be able to notice red flags, which there will most likely be, and if she really is that good at hiding it, then you'll never know, but if you find out something like that happened, then just kick her out (or leave if it's her place) when you find out and find another woman, a better one this time, hopefully 😂😂
She worked SO HARD at making sure she had a back-up plan, and then he went and grew a backbone! I'm sure that's what that letter was about - trying to ensure that there was someone to fall back on.
I refuse to believe a simp like this can be this clueless as to what she's up to, she's obviously cheating and the whole family knows about it yet man is in denial of the situation

To be honest .. he already knew what had happened. I think just exiting the relationship would have been the best move.

I don't understand why this guy seems intent on picking clearly fake stories. People don't talk about memories like this, they write stories like this. The clearly added flair and clear explanation of every person's facial expression and tone immediately shows that a story is fake every time. "Voice tinged with disbelief"? "Her jaw tightened"? Who talks like that about shit that happened to them?
As soon as I hear the phrase "I started to live my life for myself" or have the OP mention how the air was cool and crisp when they take their anger walk I know it is a creative writing project or a AI story.

The fact that the OP kept hesitating about his mother and whatever she became shows a part of this story was never told. I'm surprised that when Caroline called he didn't say she's just like his mother. And I'm surprised the exes sister didn't reach out to give her own justification to things. But when people write letters every one will always be curious but he did the right thing after reading the first line.

Interesting story unfortunately I think he was a bit of a doormat as soon as I have found out the first time what was going on and suspected it after seeing the messages especially I would’ve walked out and left her left us straight.
