Friday Night Funkin' is an open-source donationware rhythm game first released in 2020 for a game jam. The game was developed by a team of four Newgrounds users, Cameron "Ninjamuffin99" Taylor, David "PhantomArcade" Brown, Isaac "Kawai Sprite" Garcia, and evilsk8r.

It's really refreshing to just go back to the simple days when modding was still new and honestly vs Hex is my favourite mod
Especially the old BF voice makes it feel so 'nostalgic' even though it's new.

That modchart is very subtly more vicious than it lets on, it also doesn't give you healing when you get a normal good. The charting isn't even that hard, it's just the strictness of note timings that makes it a pain on top of figuring out how the modcharting visuals work with when you have to input the arrow.
Note, the Goods not healing you is literally just something in this version of Kade Engine
The fact that all of this is because of kade engine is most likely the reason people switched to Pysch engine
This version of Kade Engine is actually specific to the Hex mod, the real reason was mostly due to Kade accidentally breaking the story mode option in his previous update. Which is why people use older versions of Kade, Psych Engine, or, if you're looking to do something insane like 18 key songs, Leather Engine. Each with their own upsides and downsides. I think Kade Engine is the first one with this insane level of modchart support however.

@@Mr.TLN1 It is also that with kade engine you can do a lot more of things but is hard to program.
Pysch engine is a lot more easy to program but has a lot more of limitations.

Not to be the "Actually" guy, but when the creator of Hex revealed lore for Hex, he confirmed that Hex does pay his taxes.

It's nice seeing the Fun Gang being in this mod as foreground cameos.
OG mods have the ability to make new songs but still give you nostalgia
I fell really bad for how much time it take for Flippy to full combo almost every mod.

In The Galaxy is based around a rhythm game called NotITG which uses a lot of modcharting.
The person who made the modchart in Detected is TaroNuke, the guy who made NotITG.

I can’t believe that we went from the regular game to Hex, Whitty (rip), Mfm (rip) and more! all in a year as well. this fan base has grown so much but I gotta say even tho it’s rising it’s also kinda falling because of all the drama like the amor situation *cough* the dream of the fnf community *cough* and people getting mods deleted because some people are brain dead. but other then that the mods are getting better and better I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the next year and the official fnf update
