Thank you for all these videos. You are helping so many people understand a very difficult but very important subject. Again, thank you so much!
Factor Moment should 14256 KN M. According to formula and values. You are doing great job, I am learning a lot of thing from your channel. Jazaka Allah
I got the same thing too, but he never answers comment so no hope of getting a answer.
he also made a mistake on the area its 3.82 rounded out to 4 because you cant round out 3.28 to 4 but you can with 3.82 at least I think so.
Good job sir because of your vlog tutorial I got some knowledge from you
Very helpful! I am self make builder, trying to understand civil engineering better.
I appreciate the presentation. Though, there seems to be a mistake in calculating the the Factor Moment. Mu=1720 kN-m and corrected to 17820 kN-m when calculating 'd'. Mu=14256 kN-m in my calculation. Why? Is there a mistake in the formula or a mix-up of units? Pls give correction and explanation, as this is very very important and will satisfy many who have commented the same. You 've not replied so far. Why? I think you should. Many thanks!
i was making a master sheet yea and i thought i was a dunce i kept rearranging the formula in excel and was still getting Mu= 14256kn.m also in the calculation of Length of the pad foundation L= 3.83 m - round up to 4m . There were cal errors yes but i do appreciate the design procedure. Much thanks.
Also need to take factored load Pu in factor moment equation....and factor moment equation is not satisfied with unit of KNm...but it is coming KNm.m i.e kNm2...
Actual equation from interaction chart of column is
Mu=Pu×fck×bD2,,,where D is overall depth including cover,,
First of all it is needed in design whether column is short or long,,,which method is using WSM or LSM...column effective length Le comes in picture(with 4 condition discontinuos/continuous etc) then ratio of
Le/500 +B/30 or 20mm for minimum eccentricity
Then still lot more if column is designed as long column...10%increase then helical reinforcement,,ties, pitch,,spacing,,dia
I agree with you, and calculating the depth also has different result not 401mm, could you please verify the calculation. And also Pu (Soil Factor) was not used in you formula.
@@HTheHeat619 So this presentation is merely a procedural only, and it doesn't count on the reality of the design. Everything are assumptions.
The calculation has mistakes. Correct computation will bring 14256. But, the formula itself you have added extra "B". It is (PL square)÷2.
Also by using your factor moment formula SI units does not cancel properly.
Please rectify and present again. I love your teaching and knowledge you share. Thanks.
I keepn on yielding 14,256 kN-m o the formula of Mu. Is there any mistake on the formula?
U r good all are clearly shows u clear all doubt
you made a very good and important videos..I recommend you continue to do more numerical examples of building design and structure.thanks for sharing!!
I appreciate you. Please sir the link to the next part of this would be well appreciated too
Thanks for you show for calculating for columns footing this reference to leaning and for anther want to know 👍👍👍
Nice one, pls wish asking u some question
In real design how do u get the " P"
I know for my work, we are given a report sheet from a firm that performs load tests. In the report sheets, they include the maximum reaction (P) for typical columns and critical columns. We use those number to design the column size and the column footing.
i have to design warhouse (100'x40') with steel roofing
what should be the minimum column size
Good work…you explained very clearly…
What book's you've used? Thank you for answering.
Sir please also upload the details of the steel for column and footing of the same video (all calculation ).
it was really awesome and helpful.
thanks
Excellent information, nw I can draw the building foundation without any hassle
Understood it so easily 😊 thank you sir
But this type of method is excellent sir, tq sir for making this
Thankyou .
Area and distribution of steel ??? Please explain this one. I hope you will read my comment
Please solve any problem having four column at different distance and having different loads and it is a combined footing . The row of columns is end row. Other side is other property. The footing will extend only inside of plot. The footing is to be designed for tortional moments. Hopping for early response as I am in need. Thanking you in anticipation.
Marvellous video sir
Your way of understanding is supper
Good Presentation and thank you for sharing.
Is the soil reaction based on area required or area provided??
If It is Area of footing provided than divided by 16.
Thank you very informative
Thank you very much, really appreciate your explanation..
Sir the formulae u show it’s all type of rectangular footing... if we have other type of rectangle footing we can also use these formulas......more load and soil b/c if we design it will be given or...thanks
Thanks For Teaching Sir
Hi, can you suggest about a corner column eccentric footing? What will be the shape and detail for it?
Good Video for civil engineering 🥰
Hi sir can i ask what is the required footing for 2 storey building that there is 3x4m swimming pool on the roof deck. Soil was clay
It was useful and interesting
Thanks a lot 👍
hi sir.How did u get Factor moment 17820 kn*m ? Maybe calculation isn't true
What is the next video after this lecture sir? I would learn how to calculate steel for this footing?
Good bro....also yu should have included that how to find the depth of foundation??? D=P/qo×(1-sin theta/1+sin theta) whole power squared.
Are these calculations done according to Eurocode or Indian code?
@Civil Engineers
You have a lot of followers, please make correction of the Factor Moment calculation or you can explain in details how you get it. Not only the calculation not correct, I believe the formula itself is not correct, we can see it by the unit
Thanks sir our faculty gives longs formulas
Thanks for giving small formulas
Very understandable lecture
You calculated soil reaction q = 225kn/m2, for what? What is the reason for calculating soil reaction?
Are these standards specific to one country or IBC?
सर क्या हम किसी Reactangular column को square footing par bana sakte hai
In the step of required depth am not getting that 401 mm while using my scientific calculator, kindly confirm that.
(Step-3) Factored moment was confusing, especially values of L,B,D i.e. if it is of column or footing.
i like the way you pronounce the like subscribe and website.it made my day thank you for the goodvibes :)
brother could u go above m2o grad normally this grad of concrete is using in pcc. thanks
Civilglobal.com is for sale??? what happened to your website?
Thank you so much for this video and one more I request you to upload video calculation of dia and number of steel bar .......
How's applied load is consider and take when designing the residential building footing.
I am entering these formulae and values into excel but I am getting different values. I get 3.83 for footing size, 14,256 for factor moment. And for the depth I am totally lost.
Is it same for walls?
Sir what have you written the formula for Mu....1720 KN-m is not coming ..
Sir, is the formula for calculating moment same if there is rectangular footing??
Sir please can u explain about isolated R.c.c column footing
salam
i have designed a big room ( 25feet x 30feet ) in my Hujra and on top its normal 6 inch slab it will have a foot of soil as it is going to be a green roof.
now the problem is i am confuse about the strength of beams and columns for this room i need to use.
please guide me about it and i will be very thankful.
is adding 10% of the above load a rule in designing a square footing? thank you for the response, sir.
Sir how to calculate the loads of each column for a building and also the reinforcement details. Please explain I expect you sir
Thanks for column footing design steps, Could you please upload videos on design of open well stair case (stair around the lift) with complete rebar details of each landing.
Aslamoalaikum samiullah sab I want the measurements scale how measure and the dimainsaion.
Very good reaching
8:32 SBC calculation is incorrect. Denominator should be 16 instead of 14.66
Do you accept contract work to design footings?
dear engr sami ullah can you plz to upload about short and long column that what difference have with each other.
Is there any effect of joint in column footing
why did you calculate moment using reaction load from the column? I think you use the soil capacity as the load for the calculation of moment? I think your calculations are wrong and misleading.
very impressive, how could i contact you ?
THEE most often mistake made is not elevating the column footing with large gravel and stones to ensure a proper depth of concrete UNDER the footer. the pressure of the weight of the structure can puncture the bottom of the footer cement and you end up with a building supported by rebars stuck in the mud.
you need to address THEE most common mistakes people make with each area.
good info sir ...Good Bless You❤❤❤
Sir , ...load is given while designing footing or not.
Kindly explain
How to come column size
Don't miss guide
Hi..samei.. l have 200m2 how desing foundation
why didn't u use the new area when getting the soil reaction (4*4=16) ???
Wonderful 👍
Sir, can we provide shear reinforcement in column footing to avoid for increasing the effective depth much more? If we can, how it should be design it? Hoping your Valuable lession.
Have no idea where you get the formula, which includes0.138
how to calculate pedestal BBS in footing sir please make one video for that
Sir, can you please further explain the conversion of units on how you arrived with the 401mm size of footing. thank you
where does the figure 1.5 multiplier of the 2,200 kn load came from?
Nice video bro btw tell me how to design the footing when the column is eccentric, does it requires any extra beam provided to footing
To design the first thing that should be considered is the spacing of the footing that will determine the design
Thank you very much, its very useful.
i want know ,what is one way alb and two way slab major difference practical
Sir plz design isolated eccentric footing on property line column
What to do in case of biaxial bending?
All RCC columns should be designed for *
1 point
Shear
Torsion
No eccentricity
Minimum Eccentricity
ans plz
where you get the d=.40 from the moment factor there is no given that the d=.40m??
Plz upload design of slab base and gusset base for a column
you re amazing sir
How to calculate the loads coming on a particular column..???
Design slab and beams.Transfer beam load(Reactions) to columns to calculate load on column.
You can use area method to sum the loads that coming from the slab and beams
Very good work
where is the video with the steel calculation for the foot design?
Thank you very much Engineer
sir you taken p=2000KN but when you calculate soil reaction you take P=2200 KN can you explain plz
check out your formula for area calculation 10%(p+p) mean how will be 2200 ? give a proper (....) which is helpful to easy understand, & be clear that what you are saying in size or elements
Thks.
14.66 under square root will be 3.82 not 3.28 m2 that is for the Area
factor moment is 14256kn/m
14256 is correct computation. But check my other comment the tutor has mistaken in formula itself. He has overwritten extra "B".
Yeah I get 14256kn.m for the Factor Moment and then 1.140m for the Footing Depth
How can we come to know that side only factor movement accours ,is it ower wish
Please advice 30cm column and area of house 9meter by 12meter ground plus 2 floor how column
Very helpful! I am a builder, trying to understand civil engineering better. Without these videos we must guess with our design work and overbuild. That often means going over budget. Thank you from British Columbia, Canada.
you are right, its 4 times larger than regular footing
