Amazing this Inter squad. Ronaldo, Vieri, Recoba, Seedorf, Zanetti, Adriano etc. Serie A was the best throughout 1990s and until the early 2000s. I really liked Inter. Lazio had some excellent players too (I remember Veron, Salas, Crespo, Nedved). And what I liked most, teams were still playing with two strikers, not like today with all the "False 9" and related crap.
@@amann7166 Yes! And Cuper also lost the league title that season in the very last match, by losing to Lazio! Inter were so great, but so unlucky in these years. I remember the Inter squad under Marcello Lippi in 1999-2000, it was better (on paper...) than even the Treble squad of Mourinho!
@@mrbarbastathiss9124 they massively underachieved. They finished 4th in 2000 and then lost to helsingsborgs in the cl playoff! It was a disaster. But they also had bad luck. Imagine vieri and ronaldo together on the field, sadly both had many injuries, and the competition in serie a was very high with milan juventus roma lazio parma and fiorentina
So many English clubs through the 90s to the present day who've played in this competition are now in the Championship. Blackburn, Ipswich, Leeds, Nottingham Forest, Middlesbrough, Fulham, Derby County, Wigan, Bolton, Birmingham City. Some big names there too.
@Marco Pasini I loved watching Italian footie in the 90s, Serie A was by far the greatest league in the world back then, but unfortunately the clubs you mentioned were badly mismanaged
+King Jr It's an old comment, but yes confirmed, i remember them all. Arsenal, Tottenham, and Man Utd went against both Inter, and Milan. Chelsea, Ipswich of course, Liverpool, and Newcastle only vs Inter, and Leeds vs Milan only.
Inter had legendary strikers like anyone....r9,r.biaggo,vieri,adriano,Ibrahimovic, eto,crespo..etc

I dont know why the fuck cuper left ronaldo and seedorf on the bench in the semis against feyenoord. Could have won the trophy in 2002

How many English clubs have gone to the San Siro since the year 2000?
King Jr At a guess, I'd say 8: Chelsea, Arsenal, United, Spurs, Liverpool, Leeds, Ipswich, Newcastle. I may be wrong though
Thanks
Just wanted to know because I have seen so many English teams go to the San Siro

Non ricordo Milan-Leeds dopo il 2000, ho un vuoto di memoria. Quando l'hanno giocata, esattamente?
