    He is so right about dizziness.
    I used cold water cause "what could go wrong" and that was very unpleasant. Almost puked and needed some time to restore balance.

    I think that the magic drops are hydrogen peroxide. Cheaper to buy them in a large bottle.

      That’s true but it’s also not good to use all the time but I heard that you should use cap a peroxide and a cap of water mix together and put in the ear and let it bubble then when it stops you take off

    Very great explanation about why and why not the ears should not be clean by patients. Thank you for taking the time to go through all the different examples and making it crystal clear to me so that I will be able to explain it to others that they would be better off checking with their ENT doctor and their primary care physician first.

      I know that $ amount might be relevant to you, it's no meaning to me. Here's the deal. When you have an EXTERNAL infection of the eardrum and ear canal, you put out a type of topical anti-biotic that might cover the nature of what they believe it could be. If that doesn't work, another Anti-biotic covers OTHER infectious contaminates. Sometimes Fungal infections get in the way of that an memic an external ear infection.

    I’m 80 and never used ear protection deriving the John Deere or shooting the 12 gauge as a kid. But I did have ear wax removed repeatedly by our family physician using an ear syringe and warm water. I know I hear nothing over 10,000 hertz, but recently have noticed I can’t hear other people in meetings. So I am off to get some hearing aids and am using hydrogen peroxide followed by body temperature water to remove the wax. I also have an ear camera I can look inside ears with and see the wax on my phone and then tease it out. I know better than to go deep into the ear but prefer to be self reliant whenever possible.

      With all the noise damage you have been around sir, it's more likely than not your problem sounds more to do related to noise damage than anything to do anything of wax.

    In my case, the ears tend to feel full because of the muscles being tight. I've got a compressed vertebrae in that area and the physical size of the holes changes on a daily basis depending upon how tight the muscles are. Somedays, I can barely fit my earbuds in and somedays they're so large that they want to fall out. But, I've noticed that if I can get the muscles to relax, the pressure almost immedately equalizes without having to do anything crazy.

    • @HearingSolutionCtr
      @HearingSolutionCtr  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      60% of the people cannot wear non-custom ear buds for more than 20 minutes. It's a complete fallacy that we don't have customized ears. ALL need custom earmolds if they wish to wear earbuds. All the pressure would go away in a minute. See an Audiologist to fix this.

      Re. Burst eardrum..yikes...good warning- I had no idea what a palaver it would be. {Or how expensive}..I'm in UK there is free treatment, but the NHS is on it's knees with under funding. An operation to avoid, for sure.

    This is the kind of doctor I like to go to. I learn something, and I have someone to trust to talk to (using my deductible!) if something is wrong. Either way, I will come out ahead and healthy. I had an eye doctor like Dr. Scott and it changed my life. My question - I had an earwax build up issue because of pulling my ear hard one day out of the blue. When I went to the doctor, they cleared it partially with tools and then used warm water and hand soap (!) inside the blue bubble syringe thingy to clear my ears. Very effective, but can I do that at home by myself? Or will soap irritate the ear?

    There was a time when those cotton cue tips had a wooden stick, and due to them snapping off, and causing ear damage, they phased them out, also the design from Johnson & Johnson has changed, that some have more cotton on the ends to prevent too much ear channel insertion, and if any of that cotton should ever break loose, that piece could almost entirely block your ear channel. Also don't use peroxides that woman use to remove hair dye colours, one lady used some on her hardwood floors as recommended by a TH-camr and ruined her floors, and another TH-camr recommended using hydrogen peroxide, in the ear, as then if that stuff can take the colour out of your floors, remove hair dyes, what would it do to your ear drum. And Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh, who Don McLean the writer of the song 📻 'American Pie' wrote a song about him called 'Vincent' - Starry Night 🌟and he Vincent, had a serious ear problem, and he drank the liquor Absinthe, and smoked alot, that made the problem worse, and it never helped his ear problems, he use to paint at night with a candle on his hat, some say he may have had Meiniers Disease, discovered by a French doctor. The worse you could do is use those cotton cue tips in a baby's ears.👶 And avoid ear buds and tight fitting head sets while listening to music. 🔉🎧📻

      The over the counter Peroxide you buy is only 3 percent Peroxide and is save for your ears. The stuff for dying hair is much stronger.

    • @robertjames9221
      @robertjames9221 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kukublof5057 Not a Doctor in America would say put hair dye chemicals into your ears that can wash out the colour of black hair dyes, or what about the woman that used that chemical on her floors and it ruined the floors, that can damage the ear drum membrane, and result in permanent ear damage, and baby oils and off pharmacy drugs that are suppose to clear out wax are also recommended, but best thing is to go and see a ear doctor and scope the ear channel and clean out the wax that is causing the problem.,even a small piece of cotton swab can causes blockage. Like this channel is about trying to help others in similar health situations, not about name calling - on TH-cam there are real classic examples of people that beyond anything you can imagine that curse out and swear anyone that does not see things totalling their way. And if hospitals said put a foreign substance drug into a child's arm, what choice does the child have, even the parents can't stop it once the child is hospitalized. And a dentist won't even mention what drug they use to freeze the gums of teeth, due to feedback from many patients, as their needle use of drugs.,is commonly used. Why poison your ears with foreign chemicals, or take the risk that could cause some permanent ear damage ? Health is about common sense, not about name calling.Its about healing and the sick people finding their way back to wellness🎧📻. 🍎🌅

    So i've had wax build up in my ears the last few months, pretty bad build up and causes severe tinnitus/ringing.
    When i went to the GP, he said there was a lot of wax but he was going to prescribe me with eardrops.
    He said he is reluctant to refer patients for ear syringing because it can actually be worse for your ears on the whole? Is this true?
    The sodium bicarbonate drops done absolutely nothing so there isnt really much else that can be done. I mean ear syringing is probably the only other solution. He just seemed so reluctant to recommend ear syringing.

I got some good result by positioning the tip of the bulb toward the roof of the ear’s meatus and flushing than just flushing.

      When it gets that bad, you need it professionally removed and flushed.

      This is the time to get a full wax removal by an Audiologist or an ear physician.

    Had no fizz and only a drop came out and it was clear. I got some cause my ears were itchy but maybe wax wasn't the cause. I been putting alot in my ears to help with itching like drops and putting cream on q tips and my ears hurt now. Also didn't flush ears im worried

    I started to use baby q-tips because I have terrible balance I fell once while cleaning my ears and gave myself an ear infection. So now it’s baby q-tips around the edge not far in. But I’m halfway through this video I may have a better way to clean my ears

    9:13 you'll feel like you just opened a bottle of champagne and it's bubbling up, or like you dropped your coke and when you open it goes bubbly and splashes you, or like a boiling water of course without being hot... Anyways you'll feel ticklish and bubbly

      I get several hundred comments on all my channels a week. That's about the DUMBEST comment I have seen in months! "Talking garbage" when talking about how to remove ear wax safely as spoken by a 34 year veteran of ears who has personally done more than 20K ear wax removals. Huh...Stupid!

    Is it common to feel like an infection but go to a doctor and then be told it's wax buildup?

    • @HearingSolutionCtr
      @HearingSolutionCtr  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That feeling is being plugged up...they feel on the surface one and the same. If you've been told about that much wax buildup you need an Audiologist to clean you out every six months.

    So should we get an Amazon endoscope and try to remove it lol. It seems to sort of work but I think it’s not worth it. Maybe just going to an audiologist or ENT. These Debrox seem good but no wax comes out. I used normal 3% peroxide and it seemed to really hurt my ear canal and maybe infect it. The FNP who is my PCP didn’t see my ear drum so it must be impacted.

    • @HearingSolutionCtr
      @HearingSolutionCtr  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Doesn't mean that it's impacted. PCP aren't as trained on the eardrum as Audiologists. I would seek your local Audiologist to find out.

    Those Q-tips with wooden sticks to them are the worse in the world to use, as the wood breaks or snaps off very easily.

    • @HearingSolutionCtr
      @HearingSolutionCtr  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      None of them are any good...you can go down too far.

    I just did this but used tap temperature water, no wonder I felt drunk afterwards lol.

    • @HearingSolutionCtr
      @HearingSolutionCtr  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As I explained in the video in detail, you must use body temp water. You stick your finger in it and make sure it's at the body temp. Using cold tap or hot bottled is BAD! I am glad you mentioned this...because so many do this without spending the time to check the temp! Thanks

    My doctor said I have ear wax no infection so I need to know how to remove it.

    • @DrScottYoung
      @DrScottYoung 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This flushing mechanism is a good way to go...but that's why I would look for an Audiologist to do an Earigation. Ask for that in your area.
