Hey Gary I have a 2009 BMW 750li that was parked for 6 year with a 400625 code that was leaking transmission fluid around the pan could low transmission fluid be the reason for the code. Thanks
Hi Gary. Thanks for the video. Great job! Exactly what I am looking for. My 528i XDrive with ZF 6HP21X has Vehicle Speed Sensor plausibility error code 2F4F. Obviously you eat and sleep transmissions and have done your research regarding these ZF valve bodies. Do you know why there are no shops in the US that provide this TCM service?
There actually may be, but i'm not sure never researched it, i got hooked up with these guys through a friend that used them and they are great, used them maybe 10 times and never had a problem
My 6hp19 gearbox has 50k miles and it shows an error when switching from 3rd to 4th gear and generates error 4F89. I changed the sealing sleeve, oil and filter, I'm going to analyze the solenoids, any tips on what else to watch?

Gary, softelectronic want $600 to fix a 400626 code which most likely is just a resoldering work on the ribbon cable of the turbine speed sensor. I think it is just too much. If u know how to unclip, without breaking, all 8-10 clips simultaneously to remove the black cover to get access to the ribbon cable, most of us can do it for just some soldering wire. don't u think?
I had a question I had a 2009 750li that had clutch ratio monitoring codes for a d and e and a turbine speed sensor code. I bought a used tranny and got the original tcm copied to the new one which had a good turbine sensor. So after installing it with new seals and solenoid and deleting all codes and reseting the adaptations the car still wouldnt drive. Had same symptoms of shifter going straight back to neutral and flashing and just revving up but wouldnt move. The original issue was the car slammed hard in to gear from reverse then 15 minutes later smelled burning coming from tranny and a noise. For a little the car would just barely move forward then eventually just stopped moving at all. is there anything else i could have missed. still bugs me till this day. My thoughts are the plastic connector from the mechatronic that comes out the bellhousing wasnt seating properly or something was wrong with the wiring or shifter possibly
@garyferraro so all the clutch ratio codes and the speed sensor code were gone after installation and just a canbus u0001 code were present after. And I can't be sure but I sent it out to a place called ecumaverik and he said everything went well
@@GaryFerraro I think its just a regular obd2 code from the ecu. So originally car had clutch ratio monitoring codes for clutches a,d, and e as well as a turbine speed sensor code that I read on a bmw dedicated scanner. Took the valve body out and sent in the tcm and the tcm from the used tranny i bought and had the used tcm cleared and the original tcm flashed over to it .Did this because original tcms orange ribbon cable that was on the speed sensor was broken. was told the new tcm took the programing okay and was good to install. Installed the new tcm back in the new tranmision and put brand new solenoids on the valve body as well a new seals.. Filled it up shifted through gear and checked level and it was good. Then i reset all the adptations and took the car down and bam....til wont drive and has same symptoms of the shifter jumping back to N and flashing and wont move . Checked codes again and all the original codes were gone but now car had Canbus U0001 code. I rechecked all the seals were good and was thinking maybe the valvebody electronic plastic seal that you connect the transmision to may have not been seated properly so tranny wasnt communicating with the car but after triple checking it it seemed fine. Im at a complete losss as what the issue is now
My bmw with 6hp26 threw a trans malfunction message with code for solenoid 5 on mechtronics unit. After replacing solenoid 5 and all sleeves and bridge seal and filter pan and fluid my car wont attempt to start because it says its in 3rd gear even though its in park. If i shift the gear selector to R it thinks its in neutral amd thats the only way it will even attempt to start... any thoughts on what went wrong?
@GaryFerraro When you say miss, do you mean positioned it in the wrong place/notch? I've made sure it's in the correct place. I was wondering if it's something electrical related... I forgot to mention that all gears when selected show different than what gear it's actually in.. and there is no Park on any gears I select. And when I move the selector to the D position it doesn't go into any gear, it throws a malfunction message at me instead. I appreciate you taking the time to read and respond by the way.
Hi just quick one I'm getting continuity from pin 10 / from speed sensor 2 and the transmission casing its self is this normal short to ground error code on a zf8hp is it possible iv trapped the white wire on the speed sensor 2 do you think
Everything is built into the TCM, no wires to check, only wires coming in are power.ground and communication lines, if you have a speed sensor code, clear it see if it comes back or look at live data if you have a scan tool
Hi Gary got your info from another video. I have a question regarding 2009 535i bmw. I getting a transmission malfunction message. And when I accelerate hard the shifter goes into fail safe mode. I have to turn the car off and restart. Then it drives normal again. If you can give me some advise it would be really appreciated. I wasn’t sure how to message you
Got the same issue with my 2011 bmw 328i . Error codes P183A ,P2297 ,P0420,P0174 . My car goes in to safe mode after I accelerate and won’t shift . Than I pull over turn off the car and let it sit for a while (30-40min) than drives fine can’t find the problem.

i would certainly check the fluid level, does the car not move or delay in moving?
