- A very belated birthday tribute to Paul. I used one of my favorite songs of his - a bonus track from the remastered Pipes of Peace album (released in 1993, 10 years after the original album). This song was first released in 1986 on a various artists charity album called The Anti-Heroin Project.
"And if you love your life, everybody will love you too." - great line!
One of my friend played percussion on that song! Amazing!
Paul McCartney has so many songs he should have released or placed on an album but just so many !!! ......god other songwriters are nowhere near in creativity or talent and never will there ever be anybody to match him in playing writing performing producing arranging etc etc etc nobody living or dead touches him !!
So True !
Sir James Paul McCartney, Liverpool, England on 18/06/1942. Just ''The Best!''
It is so, so true! "If you love your life....!"👍⭐🥰
Great message!
Simple as a Paul's tune. But how does he do to be such a musical genius?
His catalog is wow, fantastic. I guess you could call it the motherload of all great music catalogs.
"The game of life requires quiet complacency". The secret to happiness is to remain child like and to embrace the spontaneity of the moment with unselfish acts of kindness.Three female role models embodied this "agape love" for me in life- Mother Theresa, Queen Elizabeth II and the late Princess Diana.I am very grateful to have learned from the very best.
Mother Therasa wanted people to suffer..she wasnt kind..
one of my all time fav Paul songs
I want to hear this on the radio someday
En France pas souvent des chansons de Paul sont diffusées

Very surprised to hear this reggae sound !!! Simple and clear message - good vibes :-) !!!! Thanks for the video !
Un hombre positivo ❤❤❤❤
Wow, such pictures !
Thanks, I hope I will get to see him in concert again soon.
If a contemporary singer/ songwriter wrote a song like this, back in '86 or '93 when it came out the media would've showered him/ her with all sorts of praise. But because it's McCartney, oh well, oh hum ... yeah ... just another one of his nonsensical songs ...
I 💘 reggae music also. It is happy music, mon. :)
Cool song,
Thanks for posting
Perfect Reggae!!!
Thank you kindly for posting this great Paul song, you did awesome with those beautiful images of Paul.
LOVE IT
Gosh I don't remember this song from Pipes of Peace but it's been ages since I listened to that one (I still have it on vinyl). You've convinced me to revisit it. Lovely pictures and very well done!
It wasn't on 'PIpes'. There was an excellent demo version of this (apart from the title it sounded nothing like this) but that was only on the remastered edition. Apparently Paul was asked to contribute something for an 'Anti Heroin' album and this is the result and I've only ever found it on that album.
But it is amazing considering it's something he probably knocked off in 5 minutes (imagine the scene 'Linda. I've just got to write down this tune for this anti-heroin project I've been asked to contribute to - so can you help Mary with her homework' LOL)
It's not on every version of pipes of peace
It’s on the remastered or special boxed set version of pipes of peace, so it is on the album.
Love the song as well as the pics - thanks for posting!
Great video and I LOVE the song :)
(also, 3:27: I wouldn't mind having him as grandpa lol)
3:19 ..?How come all the guitars are the same?... he's such an incredible man!*
2:07 wearing Linda's blouse ! hahahha
3:16 ....bicycle - Awesome photos! * thanks *
That's one thing that always gets me about Paul; How he fancies himself the best judge of his work, by leaving some great songs off most of his albums, and filling them with some tunes that would've been better left unreleased AND unheard by the public at large. I think "Pipes of peace" in particular would've been a MUCH better album, had he included this song. No wonder "Pipes" was such a comparatively lackluster followup to "Tug Of War".
@bjoybeads at 3:19 they arent his guitars- they're guitars hes going to sign for charity to auction off-theres a film of it on youtube somewhere
Paul McCartney is my hero-in!
I noticed this song wasn't on the Pipes of Peace Archive Edition. Wonder if they're saving this for a Press to Play reissue?
Why wasn't this on the album? it wasn't exactly a brill album?...This was on a par with "sledgehammer " by peter gabriel ...A shame...coulda been a single...
This would have made Press to Play or Flowers in the Dirt even better.
Never heard this before.
Paul children Heather,Mary,Stella and James sings on this song.
You're correct that this song wasn't on the original album. I forgot to add in my video details that this is on the re-released version. Thanks for your comment - reminded me that I need to update those details!:)
My pipes of peace does not have this song, and I have the released version.
@frikinjoe there's only in the 1993 rematsered CD version
👍👌👏💓🎸
@frikinjoe it's not on all versions.
Thanks for your comments! (I meant to reply to your comment earlier but i hit the wrong button, sorry!:))
The 2 or 3 first lines of melody in this one sound a lot like "don't ever change" which the Beatles versioned /watch?v=Yd4iRFAWRT8 and is included at "Live at the BBC". Here it's kinda disguised by the reagge rhytm
@eanders417 "Simple as That" wasn't on the original vinyl version(But it SHOULD'VE been, IMHO), In place of some of the garbage filler that Macca DID Put on Pipes). As the description says, it was included as a bonus track on the 1993 CD re-issue.
Isnt it just a different idea under the name simple as that?
I don't think I've heard this before. Where is it from?
Pipes of peace re release
WHy on earth didn't he include this song on the album?
Crisstti Probably because he hadn’t written it yet!
Everyone played raggae in the eighties
2018 anyone
It's an anti-drug song he did for charity.
How was that not on an album???????
il à pas vecu pour rien celui la!! ^^
good song not sure about the backing singers though, dont think it was needed, cheapens the chorus slightly
theblahman They are his children.
As much as I love Paul McCartney, this song is very simple and repetitive.
He's done better songs than this.
I love all photos on the video.
Exquisite! Thanks so much for an exceptional montage of photos of an exceptional man.
