Did anyone notice who the Old Timer was sitting in wash tub taking a bath? It was William Fawcett. Pete from the old series 'Fury' as well as many more westerns. One of the true Legion of Old Timers.
Did you recognize the actor who played Bob Kittredge? They didn't give him credit at the end of the reel. It was Deforest Kelly, who played Doctor McCoy from the original Star Trek series in the late 1960's.
Poor Bandy (or whatever his name is)! Of course as old an feeble as he seems to be, the ranch was probably going down anyhow. On the other hand, if my foreman said he just got held up and some COMPLETE STRANGER said he saw him bury the stolen money behind my barn, I think my first question to the complete stranger would be, "Who The Hell Are You?" And my next question would be, "What Were You Doing Behind My Barn?"
Around 14:56, an old guy rides off to round up his "old timer" pals. The Lone Ranger then names the group the Legion of Old Timers while talking solely to Tonto. Around 19:00, the Lone Ranger asks the bad guy "Ever hear of the Legion of Old Timers?" How would anyone (except Tonto) ever hear of such a group? I first saw this episode when I was about 10 and that question stayed with me over the past 55+ years.
Hey, PizzaFlix, have you noticed that the credits are wrong for this episode? .... and probably all of them. Me being a Star Trek fan noticed Deforest Kelley right away, but when looking for him in the credits, he's a no-show. Then I found that his character: Bob Kittredege WAS credited to him... Just it's not showing in this episode: Check out the image here: www.handitv.com/stories/deforest-kelley-might-have-had-the-most-misspelled-name-in-tv-history
Does anyone know the title of the classical music piece played during what was the awkward indoor fist fight between the Ranger and the bad guy outlaw? It was used quite a few times during the early B/W episodes of the series. I always found the early episodes far more interesting than when the series went color, speaking for myself. ♐
@@joehickman6885 Yes, Defrost Kelly was Deforest's twin brother, born 2 minutes later than Dee. He didn't have much of a career as he had some sort of disorder in which he ran a temperature and kept dripping all over the floor.

Clayton Moore gave us a hero and he was abused by Hollywood . WE need more men and TV like this--kids today dont have HEROS and that is so sad
Love how Tonto's just sitting on the porch calmly holding a gun to their backs. :D
I like Lone Ranger called the old man Old Timer..
It’s infuriating and insulting.
I’m from São Paulo-Brazil and member of THE CINECLUBE DOS AMIGOS DO WESTERN-CAW.
I've always loved the expression on Jay's face at 20:39.
Jay was such a class act.

After this commercial break, Doctor McCoy meets the Lone Ranger!
These early episodes were great! Later they became so formulaic.
Yeah season 1and 2...
Boy howdy, those old timers pack a punch.
Fred Ziffle "I guess I don't know my own fighting abilty"
DeForest Kelly of the Star Trek series was a teenager then.
Actually, he was 29
The 52 episodes of Star Trek were filmed in 1967 ?
Ho Silver, Ho Scout. I love it!
Me too
from what little i have seen of this series it looks like the only time we see the Ranger's unmasked face is when he is in disguise.
*"Dr. Leonard McCoy,"* can 'thank' a certain *"mysterious masked man," & his "faithful Indian companion(?)"*
*"Hi Yo Enterprise! Awaaay!"*

+AmericanaStar I'm sort of a fan of the original Star Trek.; I recognized Mr. Kelley right away.
+Duchess1953 in looking it up, it seems he did quite a bit of westerns, and other bit parts before he became "Bones McCoy".
Yes, I believe he did.
Damn it Jim I'm a Doctor not a rancher.
Medraut, 😛😛😛😛😛😛
Strange things are afoot at the circle K. :-)
So the Lone Ranger puts a bunch of Senior Citizens in danger for ,what one guy and justice 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The fist fights were “Star Trek Bad.” 😀
I don't think anything comes close to the star trek fights but these were bad 👎
Clayton Moore and DeForest Kelley both died in the same year - 1999.
For a 1940s show this is pretty good
Try 1960
It's young Bones McCoy!

In these serials, that kind of attention to detail in the plot was not given much consideration. :)
"Your story just doesn't make sense." Oh you mean "I didn't do it!" Yeah I can see where you'd be confused.
The long ranger was the. Best
Nope 🤗

Maybe The Lone Ranger meant that as a clue.
I don't think he expected that Red Dever would have heard of them. He was being aggravatingly mysterious. :D

Land Bradford bandit again and again!
Young DeForeste Kelly!
This episode was the first time LR wore two guns. No explanation was given. Nor could I find anything on Google. Anybody know why?
Stephen Ater was this the first episode after the pilot?
Proper cowboy action dress is with two matching revolvers.
I'm a doctor, not a rancher!

the william tell overture is the piece
It's from Richard Wagner's "Flying Dutchman Overture." th-cam.com/video/HqezCR_XzaI/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=TheWickedNorth
I never noticed that his mask was changed to a over the nose.
The credits to this were from The Tenderfeet not The Legion of Old Timers
U got that right.
Defrost Kell or Dr, Msxoy’s Name has been erased he is now named Bob Ross. Mmm.
