fixing up the neighborhood is not enough.... you need good schools to get families there !!!!

Yes you are right, I live in Dayton, Ohio and I have covered the issues of Dayton for years now, come visit my page.
Unless you can get people in there that are willing to have families and lay down roots there then nothing will change, because just trying to bring in hipsters or people beyond the age of having a family are not putting any people back into the city. If your focus is on young professionals then what you are you doing to make sure that they will stay once they have children, because if the schools suck then they are just going to pack their bags and go right back to the suburbs

One of the heaviest anchors to progress in Cincinnati has always been CITY COUNCIL. Historically a group always at odds with one another, eager for the spotlight for their own little ideas--- this creates a "dead in the water" environment and NOTHING ever gets done. For years I've heard talk about high speed rail...and talk is all it ever amounts to. I suggest the dissolution of Cincinnati city council and thus allowing a strong mayor to bulldoze through red tape...because Cincinnati is not just the home of the Reds, it is home of RED TAPE!!
    GET RID OF CITY COUNCIL.

I went to the Empire Theatre as a small child, beer bottles rolling down the isles , the stink of alcohol, and the loud slurrings of the drinks. Not a safe place for little unaccompanied children. The ushers dragging the drunks out.

Seems re-stock is the problem- there receiving money but not completing the projects that their receiving funds for and there seems to a power struggle of intimidation of Re-Stock allowing private developers to come in and create a mixture of affordable housing and regular rent housing- Re-Stock is Stuck

My mother was dying at Bethesda North at the time. I did not care if the entire city was torn apart.
