Hi Julie, this is my first visit to your channel which was recommended by Lynn "Nanna-M". I also have osteoarthritis and have had two hip replacements and five years ago I was diagnosed with arthritis in my knees. I can't take Naproxen so I did some research and found that many people had had good results with Turmeric capsules which are anti-inflammatory. It took about five weeks before I noticed a difference and now I only take one capsule every other day. My GP endorsed what I'm doing. It doesn't matter which brand you take, just make sure it contains a high percentage of Curcuminoids (mine have 95%) and black pepper. I also started a weight loss diet at the same time and I can honestly say that I'm almost pain free. I need to lose another stone and I'm interested in following your life style. I really enjoyed this first video so thank you. 😊
@@sue508 hi Sue, thanks so much for coming over from the lovely Lynn. It’s great to hear you’ve had such good results with turmeric. I will definitely give it a try x
Thank you very much for explaining your new eating regime, Julie. I think the idea of fasting is great for reducing bloating & all the nasty side effects of IBS. The plan is so flexible anyone can adapt it to fit in with their family meal times and even occasional treats. As you have explained, your husband has no health issues and needs to eat regularly which makes it even harder for you. You are obviously determined to succeed and your weight loss is a welcome benefit. I look forward to your next update.
I found this very interesting Julie, thank you. It seems there are plenty of benefits to this which have nothing to do with losing weight and it is obviously working for your health issues, which is brilliant. To be honest, the amount/type of food you're eating would probably lead to weight loss even without the eating window. If you've cut out snacking and are eating healthily and moderately that will do it! However, it is the overall effect as you rightly say. I mentioned Gregg Wallace Health in a recent comment, which advocates no snacking - obviously this leads to a fasting period by default (for me, 12-13 hrs a day during the week, longer at weekends when we lie in and have a more leisurely breakfast, probably more like 15-16 hours.) I agree with you, it's a great way to eat, very healthy and makes you feel good. And yes, my clothes are starting to feel a bit less snug too! 👍 Look forward to your next update. Xx
Morning Julie thank you sharing this with us and I have found it very interesting and very helpful and I am same I have always had bloating problems with my stomach and I struggle with my weight and now have found out that I have arthritis and high blood pressure thanks again for sharing this information I really did enjoy listening to you I will be looking forward to hearing more of your feedback on this topic ❤xx
Thank you for this video Julie, I tried fasting last year & it worked really well for me. I'm not sure why I stopped. I'm going to give it another go xx
Hi Julie….🙋♀️I recently heard about this…sounds interesting …l am a good few years older than you but I still want to lose weight !!…So l will give it a try and see how I go… Thanks for explaining …🙋♀️…..xx
Hi Julie, This eating plan (I don't like saying diet, as I find they don't really work) sounds good to me. I think as a nation we eat far too much. After saying that, I'm more like your husband. I am active and if I ate like that I'd lose weight! I usually eat breakfast at eight, lunch at twelve, tea at five... and that's it for me. I'm not a snacker and since the menopause I can take or leave chocolate (woo hoo!). I just have to say though I think your hubby is a bit cruel eating supper next to you! 😂 But well done for not giving in... I hope it all works out for you ❤
