If you notice that, right after the wheelslip at 4:10, once he gets under control, watch both locos and the rods. You'll notice that the lead loco is running a tad faster than the trailing loco. That means the driver diameter on the lead loco is smaller and those drivers have to turn a little bit faster than the trailing locos drivers do. You can also hear the "chuffs" are out of time of each other.. just an observation! Excellent video!!!
Last I heard 497's boiler was actually in worse shape than 492, and the shop was interested in returning that one to service instead, though I don't know if it's really happening or not

Omg I would be so happy if both 168 and 497 are restored
4:10 LORD ALMIGHTY THAT WHEELSLIP
i know right
Great video on the trains.
8:31 love watching everyone try to stay on their feet
In what case do they use helpers/double locomotives? Is it always?
Looks like K-37s 494 and 495 were used as parts sources to keep 497 in operation. Hopefully, they'll get around to fixing her sometime soon.

Hematoma Falafal Patrol they should just fix up 492’s boiler and put it in 497
Hope when the pandemic dies down, I’d put my strategy for restoring 483, and 3 of the K37’s. Any of them.
One question: 487 was the helper engine but recoupled to the train and went to Antonito, wasn’t 484 supposed to?
ahh, I see from the opening shot, that #483 is looking a lot better
É como se o passado voltasse ao presente.
Sounds like 484 is using 497’s whistle
that is a fast weel spin.
Shooter Simulations Never saw a narrow gauge locomotive at a very fast wheel slip before.
Narrow gauge engines slips a lot. If they spin on wet rails or snow. Or if they push a rotary snow plow then can slip easily
i didn't Know C&TS 487 wheel slip 3 three in a row
is 483 operational?
No she's missing a lot of parts and needs a complete rebuild.
