Thank you so much again River for the wonderful uploads. Really enjoyed listening to the videos about old equipment. Sorry to hear that you have not been very well recently and certainly will be remembering and praying for your speedy recovery my friend. Just keep yourself as busy as you can but take care at the same time of your health. Greetings from Northern Ireland.
Great videos River .your going through so much and I wish you well again.your videos are both enlightening, and entertaining .and your whit is razor sharp .always good to hear from you .most of all your vids are factual and help me with my projects too.all the very best, andy .
Good to hear a bit of the old fire in your delivery. Also good to hear there is hope. I'll focus on that. :) Nice job on the cleanup and repair. Those old pieces were definitely built to a much higher standard than the crap-o-phones of today.
Another great video, keep them coming, Stuff that we considered low end back in the day really shows how very poor some of today’s offerings are. I recently restored to working order an Amstrad RP10 record player that I bought from a charity shop, now years ago I wouldn’t have given it a second look but now compared to the Crosley and GPO offerings it is a Prince. Don’t know what I’m going to do with it now! Glad to hear your health has stabilised and hope to see your videos for many years to come.
I do hope you're doing well in this current climate, we're not in a terribly great place at the moment, and you guys in the UK have really taken a hit, which is very sad.
Well, first the doctor says they've to get rid of the Philips gunge, the BSR waxy grease, and of course any Red Leicester Cheese gears . Thankyou for your kind comments too.
Here's wishing you well, from this side of the pond, take care, River!! (I'm on that one-way ride up shit creek; started my 'bucket list'; and pulling in the last of my favors, to do so...) I may be getting a 'cockpit ride' in a 757 before Christmas; just found out today. Sort-of a "Make a Wish", for old farts. One of the benefits of two-plus decades with Ma Boeing, as an avionics support engineer.
Interesting and good-sounding mono radio! Very good for the kitchen, for example. I hope it goes well with you River. I am retired since April of this year, 1 year later than what used to be the retirement age, namely 65. Not that it was a problem, because I had not worked since 2013. :)
Hey do you still have your car radios in the shed? Also i got a cassette player in a modern car i get loads of comments like how do you do that. It has a cd changer to but ive also added a bluetooth board to keep phone users happy so there is no complaints i habve a rare after market cd/cassette unit from sony i kept
As you say it looks like it could have been designed for being used in a hotel room since mains power only.well made too. probably made in England. hope you feeling better after little medical problem mate.
Still very sadly missed. Always in our hearts.

Nice channel mate. Doing a RM40 at the mo. Get well!
You've not been out of my thoughts ever since the initial diagnosis was shared with us, but I maybe detected a ray of light in your update.
Hey River. Remember that we want some good ghost stories for Halloween.
Noted, and of course I shall..
