Where on god’s earth did you get that tone from? And why don’t any modern rock bands, 55 years after this was recorded, bother to recreate some of this 60s/70s rock god power? I’m a millennial but man, it doesn’t get much better than this for dark, devil summoning rock music. Watching this vid reminded what a genius solo it is.

Hey Kyce I usually use software emulations for these videos. I find it much easier and faster to tweak the sounds after I've recorded them. For this solo I used a basic Amplitude setting with a Tube Screamer. And then I ran it through and EMT140 Reverb emulator. I always toggle back and forth between my mix and the original so I can try and copy it as closely as possible.
