Here is a tutorial on how I made beautiful wall hangings out of old plates using decoupage napkins.

How to make gesso at home: Take 3 spoons of baby powder + 3 spoons glue+ 3 spoons white acrylic colour. Mix these things well without forming any lumps. Now your home made gesso is ready.
How to make ModPodge glue at home - Mix glue and water in the ratio of 2:1 and your mod podge glue is ready.

Can we use normal glue if no gesso available

Yes, u can make gesso at home by adding little bit of water to normal glue. ( water and glue in 1:2 portion)
