PBS aired this? Wow, I never would have guessed PBS would show something like this, lol. The way I came to see it for the first time was because my older brother worked for a TV news station in Nashville, and somehow he managed to get ahold of a bootleg copy of the tape from one of his co-workers. The first time I watched it I was at his house, and it was the first thing he played on his new VCR, lol. That was back in 1994 or 1995...I was just 10 years old, but even at that young age I was able to pick up on all the adult humor, and the way the people who made the documentary were able to make fun of Jesco without him realizing he was being made fun of...I could tell there was something special about it, a one of a kind type thing I guess you'd say. I used to laugh so hard my stomach would hurt at some of the ridiculous things he says (but he's being as serious as he can be when he says them, which is what makes it so funny!) My other favorite lines of his that get me tickled every time are "and I said no, you're gonna go to bed alright...you're gonna go to bed in a coffin!" (when he just had to go back for his sunglasses because he didn't want anybody else to wear them, lol)) and what he says during one of their house trailer side arguments "it ain't been easy livin' with you all this time, the things you've done to me! Tryin' to pick at my brain, what little bit's left of it!" Dang that's some good stuff, lol! 😁
