I totally agree upwind in the chop you must adapt your paddle stroke rythm to the " breath of the sea” with sometimes 3 fast strokes with the upper hand lowered from the T handle and then stop while the board "climb " the wave. Of course short fast strokes in extrem choppy seas provide more stability than normal strokes.

Dave is one of the best sup builders when i get some extra money i would like to get one
Dave certainly knows his stuff! His shapes are superb and well reasoned while the construction is both strong and light weight.
