It was very brave of You Joan to share your personal story and my heart goes out for you, having lost someone dear at such a young age because the society and the systems failed to protect you and your friend. Sharing our personal stories and those of others around us helps humanize the cause for Girls Education, Reproductive Justice and Nature Conservation for the world to know the depth of suffering subjected to our girls, women and vulnerable communities because of decisions people make regarding Nature and the Environment.
