More than a decade ago, my mother was in the states. Separated from her family for years, she was lonely and homesick so vaiterera Baba Chararamba and his songs really helped her push through. One day I was with her paphone ndiri muna First street, then dhuma na VaCharamba. I walked up to him ndikati ndokumbirawo mutaure naMai vangu. He didn’t think twice, he took my old, battered Nokia 3310 vakataura for several minutes as if vaitaura nehama yavo. Haa Mai vangu vakafara veduwe!!! Moyo wenyu VaCharamba wakandishamisa, Chokwadi uzere nengoni, uzere nerudo.

The message in this song is so rich, it really relates to what I have gone through in my life. But God has been so faithful & merciful in my life. I went through very difficult financial problems from 2008 when Zim economy was at it"s worst. I remember playing this song non stop in 2009, with tears coming out of my eyes, going to bed hungry was a norm to me. Today I can be counted among men, GOD has lifted me from dust.
