I was at that England v Belgium game at Wembley, too! With a bunch of the placards used to make the English flag made into paper airplanes and thrown towards the pitch lol
Hey Alfie, I just thought of a cracking idea for a video you could do on the turbulent recent history of Goztepe in the Super Lig. They’re one of the Super Lig’s most well supported clubs (a bit like a Newcastle United, Sunderland or Strasbourg if you may). In the 2001/02 season, they finished seventh in the top flight, however from 2002 to 2008, they were relegated five times in six seasons, due to their inability to reduce their outstanding debt which resulted in the football club being banned from signing new players during that time. In August of 2007, a business based in Istanbul, vowed to take them back to the top flight making them one of the top five clubs in the country, but they were met with lots of suspicions from the fan base, and then they handed over the ownership to another bloke called Mehmet Sepil in 2014. Anyway, they’re back in the Super Lig as a solid mid table/weaker top half team. Why am I bringing all this up? Because apparently Abramovich is looking to possibly buy the club himself, after being sanctioned from the UK. It’s a crazy crazy story and may you could look into this, not to mention, they are not only a rare example of a club that is considered a neighbourhood club, as well as the fact that they’ve played in 3 different stadiums since 2011, but also in 1969, they became the first Turkish football team to play a semi-final of a European competition.
Sterling is great and gets too much disrespect but Mane and Son > Sterling, the team that Sterling's in benefits him greatly and despite his quality their ability to make goals and do something magical is much greater imo than Sterling's numbers, if Sterling continues double figures for the next 5 years then sure, but otherwise he's not as good looking in matches as I think Son and Mane have been
Bake being above Pires is absolutely criminal. As an Arsenal fan even I can admit that Bale hit heights that Pires never did, Pires’ consistency and his impact across multiple seasons greatly dwarfs Bales ONE season of unquestionable brilliance
It's not, bale is the greatest uk winger of all time, and despite pires being legend he has never been up to be the world best like bale was, the physicality, heigh, speed, long shots, free kicks, headers of prime bale were something else he would alone eat the prime defence of man u, not to mention what he went on to achieve at Real 4 UCLs as main player bicycle kicks in finals, ability wise bale is the greatest lw in the prem history, but has not played as much as the others!
I'm gonna say (before watching this or reading comments) ... 7. Son 6. Bale 5. Ginola 4. Mané 3. Pires 2. Hazard 1. Giggs Based on contribution, enjoyment to watch, longevity, and accolades. Mané could well find himself in the top 3 in the future though.
100% agreeable on this top 7, spot on. Would be fun though, with all the good talent coming from the england ranks to see a video about potential WC 2026 starting lineup with subs (potentially full 23 squad)
Sterling's position is justified on the basis he has scored double figures in all competitions for nine successive seasons. Sadio Mane has scored double figures in the Premier League alone for every one of the eight seasons he has been in the Premier League. More anti Liverpool from Alfie
My PL hot take is that no other PL player (barring maybe Paul scholes) has had such a large reputation boost thanks to nostalgia than Eden Hazard. Yes he was excellent and at points totally unplayable, but he also interwove every great season with an abysmal one. The fact that he left on a high, as opposed to Alexis Sanchez who besmerched his reputation at United before going. Hazard was an 8.5/10 player who regularly was unplayable and just as regularly was a hindrance
I don't think I've ever seen anyone with the explosive speed of Eden Hazard at his peak. If there was a 10m dash, he'd be the Usain Bolt or Michael Johnson of the event.
Honestly the list was perfect except for Sterling was to high up I know he has very good stats but I've seen the guy miss to many chances (Lyon champions league) to put him as the 3rd best Premier League Left Winger of all time. Also Hazard could dominate any defender any team and for that reason I would put him 1 and Giggs.

I will agree with most of your choices, because there is no way I couldn't with 4 of them - Pires, Bale, Hazard and Giggs. But Sterling? Obviously a great player, but IMO does not deserve a spot on that list. Still, as always a great video, love those :) .
Day X: Your girlfriend's/mum's/non-footie freind's/Irish guy's XI A few years ago there was a trend on Twitter where people asked their uninterested friends, partners, and family members to make an XI out of the players they know. My friend did that with his girlfriend and the eleven was all over the place and extremely fun. The interesting part was trying to actually justify why someone like Origi could work as a DM, which is what I want you to do.
There will always be arguments and disagreements when it comes to these sort of lists because people will take into account their own personal bias and criteria. An incredible player, but not enough PL appearances.
As a Chelsea Fan no one can argue against Ryan Giggs 🔥🔥
Fair list ..I was hoping Ginola - maybe my favorite EPL player of all time - would be on the list so I appreciate you explained why not!
1. Hazard
2. Bale
3. Mane
4. Giggs
5. Pires
6. Sterling
7. Son/Ginola/Sanchez
for me:
1 hazard
2 giggs
3 bale
4 pires
5 sterling
6 mane
7 son
When it comes to players like Sterling, how do you judge where he has made his appearances? Pep's forwards tend to be pretty fluid, and where he starts the game may well not be where he plays all of it.
I guess the starting position on the pitch
I was at that England v Belgium game at Wembley, too! With a bunch of the placards used to make the English flag made into paper airplanes and thrown towards the pitch lol
Duff deserves a shout
If Sterling had stayed at Liverpool, for the last few years the front 3 would have been...
Firmino, Salah and Mane.
Sterling is great and gets too much disrespect but Mane and Son > Sterling, the team that Sterling's in benefits him greatly and despite his quality their ability to make goals and do something magical is much greater imo than Sterling's numbers, if Sterling continues double figures for the next 5 years then sure, but otherwise he's not as good looking in matches as I think Son and Mane have been
Yeh I’m a year late and son and mane is defo above sterling idk how he got third?
Bales not English though...
@@GCAbleism158 I don't think there are many English players on this list
Mathew’s, Finney, Charlton
@@bigm400George Best
Wondering if you'd make a Captain's ranking and a Manager's Ranking to cap off the greatest team
ofc 1st is hary maguire
I'm gonna say (before watching this or reading comments) ...
7. Son
6. Bale
5. Ginola
4. Mané
3. Pires
2. Hazard
1. Giggs
Based on contribution, enjoyment to watch, longevity, and accolades. Mané could well find himself in the top 3 in the future though.
Of course, football never existed before the Premier League 😒
Mane dangerously low shocked from the placement
Alfie, please make a video on the mixed success of the Indian Super League.
It's had success?
Do it yourself
100% agreeable on this top 7, spot on. Would be fun though, with all the good talent coming from the england ranks to see a video about potential WC 2026 starting lineup with subs (potentially full 23 squad)
Sterling's position is justified on the basis he has scored double figures in all competitions for nine successive seasons. Sadio Mane has scored double figures in the Premier League alone for every one of the eight seasons he has been in the Premier League. More anti Liverpool from Alfie
Two players in the top seven, but he's anti Liverpool...
So happy Sonny is in here
My PL hot take is that no other PL player (barring maybe Paul scholes) has had such a large reputation boost thanks to nostalgia than Eden Hazard.
Well after that bold Gareth Bale claim, you now owe us a 7 best individual seasons video
Thought it was ridiculous as well. He wasn't bad at all, but not even close to legend material.
Day 6: best sons of former players currently playing (example: Diego Simeone’s son is killing it in Serie A)
Criteria: dad must have played top flight football
Paolo Maldini definitely at the top Haaland & Chiesa following? It's an interesting topic to explore. Kasper Schmeichel somewhere in there? Simeone as you've mentioned. I'm all in now.
@@MrAndywear Maldini is the best example in history but currently? I am amazed every time i find out a former legend has a son currently playing and am rooting for them to do well.
@@TheBarrier oops. I got excited and mentioned my childhood hero.
@@MrAndywear even he has sons playing professionally so it’s not a bad shout
Thank you for always trying to give Sterling his deserved place in football. The guy is way too overhated just because of a few dives and 2 open goal misses
I agree he is overhated but to put him in 3rd is too much imo he shouldn’t be above Mané in this 7 comparing individual accolades only and not team Mane is ahead of him in all of categories however at the end of his career he most likely will
And then he said "Raheem Sterling" LOL
And they say The Irish guy was the funny guy of HITC and that without him no jokes would ever be funny here.
Great video as usual. You could set up your own channel 🙂
Thank you for including Son
Can't wait for the controversy of the strikers seven😂
Ginola at Newcastle was immense
As I'm an Arsenal fan, I'm just a tad biased, but I can't believe Gareth Bale is in 4th. He was fantastic THAT season. But after that he was off to Madrid and before he was just good. Otherwise, I agree completely with this list. Another fantastic video though! Keep up the great work 👍🏽
The pun with "left wing" was really good 😂😂
I will agree with most of your choices, because there is no way I couldn't with 4 of them - Pires, Bale, Hazard and Giggs. But Sterling? Obviously a great player, but IMO does not deserve a spot on that list. Still, as always a great video, love those :) .
Mane and Son should be better placed than Pires and Bale, if you include longevity. And games played.
1. Giggs
2. Hazard
3. Pires
4. Sterling
5. Bale
6. Mane (gonna surpass bale if he scores 20+ goals this season)
7. Sanchez
That's my list and order only with Ginola replacing Sanchez
Day X: Your girlfriend's/mum's/non-footie freind's/Irish guy's XI
A few years ago there was a trend on Twitter where people asked their uninterested friends, partners, and family members to make an XI out of the players they know. My friend did that with his girlfriend and the eleven was all over the place and extremely fun. The interesting part was trying to actually justify why someone like Origi could work as a DM, which is what I want you to do.
Mané is better than Sterling but Sterling deserves to be in the top 7
Putting sterling over Sadio 😳😣
did he just say bale was better last season than ronaldo was in any of his seasons at united?? Lmao what a clown
You didn't mention Bale's impressive and PFA-POTY-winning season in 10-11. Here is my list instead.
Hazard>Giggs>Bale>Pires>Mane>Sterling>Son
Hazard > Sterling > Giggs > Bale > Pires > Mane > Son imo
Giggs is arguably the greatest PL player of all time, no other left winger is even remotely close.
Dude you wrote a whole fantastic book and you’re only a year younger than me… I gotta get up and get my life going 😂
There will always be arguments and disagreements when it comes to these sort of lists because people will take into account their own personal bias and criteria. However, I think most people can agree that the right 7 players were in this video, regardless of what you thinking of the order and that's pretty impressive tbh
alfie we need a video on Barcelona's current rise
another list that is based on peak performance rather than quantity x quality would be cool
Gotta thank Southampton for Mane and Bale 😎😎😎
for me:
1 hazard
2 giggs
3 bale
4 pires
5 sterling
6 mane
7 son
Has this channel did a ranking of all current Premier League walkout anthems?
This is going to break some hearts
I was paying a lot of attention until you jokingly bring Sterling 3 that's absolutely crazy. The man is not belongs here at all
do a video on the 7 free transfer players this summer
I love Sterling one of my favourite players that don’t play for my club but I’d put mane 3rd and Sterling 4th
Pires should have probably been 3rd then Mane 4th then Bale 5th if we're gonna take consistency and achievements into account.
You're wrong.
I know sterling is English but I don't think he's better than Mane and Son
I like these countdowns. I like HITC channel despite (or because) it's so ManUtd-biased it's comical.
Keep 'em coming!
mane is criminally underrated even by liverpool fans. very weird. raheem is not better than mane lool wuttt?? it wud be hard to find another Liverpool supporter who thinks tht
Based on talent, Giggs wouldn't make the honourable mentions list.
talent only is not enough..lingard, welbeck, balotelli, adnan januzaj, those name have talent but don't know how to used it. Having a talent and brain is what make you real g.o.a.t
The transfer battle for Hazard was between Manchester City and Chelsea, not United who were never in with a shout.
No Morten Gamst Pedersen? Mr Reliable?
Edit: You mentioned him in the honourable mention section - but Gamsty did his own fetching and carrying!
1st place was obvious 😂😂😂. I’m loving the series though.
I wish you used some more clips vs photos when talking about players. Obviously Copyright and stuff might prevent that, but it would be nice
Hazard was great in the epl, but hopeless in the big CL ties where the real test lies.
Yeah, no. This shows you haven't watched him at all. Hazard has the 3rd most MOTM awards in Europe after Ronaldo and Messi, he was usually the best player on the field, even in CL games. Chelsea at that time just weren't as good as they are now while alot of other teams were better than they are now.
@@deandoesstuff3371 Maybe read what I wrote lol. He WAS hopeless in the big CL ties. I'm not talking about - if you read the original comment - about mickey mouse group games. And you'd have to be pretty naive to take the MOTM awards seriously lol - they're something teenagers would take seriously.
How many knockout CL goals did Hazard score from open play in his entire career?
@@jackmurphy6864 Even in the big CL ties, he was still the best Chelsea player on the pitch most of the time. Far from hopeless if you ask me. But i get it, you focus on goals. Not even mentioning the fact that Hazard has never been known as a prolific goalscorer, but you'd have to be pretty naive to dismiss MOTM awards as a whole ( i never said it was the most important stat or anything, but it's still a stat and enough proof that he was far from bad in CL games ). There's more to a performance than goals. If you're saying his stats are lacking in the CL or that he didn't always perform at his best, that's fine, but calling him hopeless...Yeah, no.
@@deandoesstuff3371 No, not just focusing on goals, that's what you said I only focused on. He had an awful habit of vanishing in serious CL games. No idea what games you were watching when "he was still the best player in big CL games" lol. Absolute nonsense.
Anyway, what was the answer to my question: How many knockout CL goals has Hazard scored from open play in his entire career?
@@jackmurphy6864 Again, that doesn't matter. A player like Hazard shouldn't be judged on goals. Perfect example: World Cup 2018, he won the silver ball while scoring 2 goals ( 1 was a penalty ). Hazard created 13 chances in the CL in 2017, the most out of any player in arguably one of his worst seasons. Again, he was by no means at his best in big CL games, but he was far from awful.
I have to say I can't believe that there isn't a more fitting player to put instead of Gareth Bale, who has been a right winger for most of his career and was more prolific after leaving the PL, but I like the inclusion of Son so I'll give this list a pass
Did you pay attention to the video? In the EPL Bale played the majority of his games at left wing. What he played at Real makes no difference
All 7 players mentioned are very close to each other in terms of legacy.
Me and my friends will make this channel reach 500k by 4th of July. 😂
I hope, let's go guys.
Did anybody else find that picture is Grealish’s calves horrifying yet fascinating at the same time
Time stamp?
@@ousmansano21 it’s in the beginning of the video
FINALLY A VIDEO IN WICH EDEN HAZARD IS RECODNISED AS THE GREAT PLAYER HE REALLY WAS!
UGH BABY YES I'M JUICY!
Pires has to be higher, 4th is abysmal for what that man achieved.
He was a good player but he was only at arsenal for 6 seasons whilst others like hazard where there for about 8 and giggs was there for over 20
Shhh Stephen Adams, your chatter is nonsensical.
Best German players in the premier league of all time. (Day 291)
I will not give up until the video is made or Alfie himself tells me to stop. Everyone else telling me that will be ignored.
If you don't believe my number, just go back to the previous videos. I'm at the bottom most of the time, but I'm there.
Ginola not being on this list is a crime, I do not care if he's an honorable mention, he was like a better Baggio and I don't think that's an understatement.
And Harry Kewell before injury issues
Accidentally forgot to move everyone down a place and put Steve Guppy as no. 1.
Good list except mane shouldve been in front of sterling and must say I'm glad son madr the list
perfect list till you ruined it with Hazard 2nd, he's clear top imo
I knew he was gonna give giggs number 1. Alfie loves the romanticism of old players. Hazard is number 1 and it’s facts
If Hazard aint first theres something wrong
Personally for me I think Jon Barnes should have been on this list, either as an honourable mention or beating son or mane
Hazard above mane is farcical, mane’s already surpassed hazards legacy in England.
Bro what are you smoking
That's what I always tell people...Mane has achieved more
@@blackboywiththesauce2359 It's expected because of the squad is in. Hazards a different breed
How about a video focussing on players that were clearly on it and unplayable or not- I point you to Darren Huckerby, Ginola... You knows what I mean. Or one one on players "carrying timber" - Jan Molby, Micky Quinn... Keep up the good work.
One for both lists, Matt LeTissier.
Idk how this guy finds Sterling to be a better player than Mane......how can you say that Mane should be top 3
