I thought I was good at tetris back in the early 90s. I could play the arcade tetris for 3 hours straight. But somehow my brain is still not wired to play that fast. Maybe it is just a muscle memory and technique thing (I could slide the pieces much faster with the full size joystick). Time will tell! So far the best I've gotten is 3rd place.
@@lgtwzrd Just learn finesse, and don't play 99, it's way too slow and annoying. You should definitely try tetr.io. It has a ranked online mode so you can play 1 v 1's vs people in your skill level. There's actual interaction too instead of clearing lines to the void like in arena

This one can be used to make t-spin spaces but can just as easily be misplaced or oh can find yourself in a situations where there are gaps that you just can’t fill. Be wary or holding more than one of these at a time. “T”: the holy grail. This is possibly the most important piece in the game. Although “I” tetriminos can make Tetris line clears, this piece is so versatile that it’s use is what separates less experienced players from more competitive ones. These tetriminos can fit in almost any situation and gap in the matrix as well as create t-spin double and even triple line clears that are worth more than Tetris line clears, ultimately dealing more damage. If you want to improve in the game, you must learn to use this piece to its full potential.

If you want to do videos where you talk about how to improve/strategies you are using you should record a match then do commentary over it. What your saying is very good advice but it's hard to hear you and hard for you to say exactly what your thinking since your focused on the game, especially when it speeds up. Other than that you have a lot of good info and insight to give keep making good content.
Stephen Pohl seconding on this. It’s enjoyable and I would argue necessary to keep the game sounds in tact. Doing so with live commentary keeps your voice volume far too low comparatively to hear what you’re saying.
There’s something about Tetris that makes it way more fun to watch rather than play it myself. Maybe it’s because I’m not really soaking it all in when I *am* playing, but just watching you do this so we’ll just feels so *good!*

I learned a few stategies when Puyo Puyo Tetris Switch released. Yesterday I felt kind of sad but I suddenly got a 10th place after my previous best was 26th and I popped off so hard, it felt amazing.
FitmoGamingMc No, it’s a Nintendo Switch exclusive. I think a Switch emulator exists but is subpar and probably can’t run this game yet. Plus you can only play this game online so you probably couldn’t use it in an emulator anyway.
That was very good. We have very similar approach. Never won a game yet, but finished 2nd, 3rd, 4th and reach top 10 quite often. The one thing I still can’t get my head around though: T-Spins!!! I sometimes do it unintentionally, but setting it up I find difficult!

I got to 3rd place by playing super slow, like the first 3 or 4 pieces for me naturally got laced without me speeding them up and like 9 people were already KO, fluked my way to top 10 and KOd a guy with a bunch of badges and defended my way to number 3, I can't process the speed at that level

AweProd22 if you pair two fast Tetris players against each other, c4w is slow because the TKI opener is fast and sends out 9 lines to the opponent, which in turn leaves less space for the opponent to build.

Why building up tetris instead of doing a 4 wide? That seems more flexible and destructive imo
Because a 4 wide is not only slow to build, but it’s not as good here because there are 99 players instead of the 2
