Off the record BMW went back to solenoid valve injectors from Piezo-electric injectors because of the leaking problem, which is common among 6.0 litre and 6 3/4 litre displacement models of high mileage. It's worth noting that N74TU2 switched to 350bar high pressure system.
I always deactivate the start/stop feature. I started this practice on my F02 N63TU equipped vehicle and now on my N74TU equipped G12.
I've read that this engine is more reliable than the v8
