I was a professional photographer for 40 years and then I had an accident and now I have a spinal cord injury so I am in a wheelchair but Learning to walk with a cane. I came across your video and started thinking that maybe I could shoot newborn babies… I never did before… I was an advertising photographer. I'm really inspired by your videos. Thank you very much. I subscribed and will be watching more of your videos
Love how much you advocate for newborn's safety. It's not talked about enough! Our little one will be arriving any day and we cannot wait to actually be able to photograph him and our toddler together for the first time.
I appreciate BTS shoots like this. Makes you feel connected to what the actual photographer is actually doing, which is a very refreshing perspective from always just seeing final results. Thank you!
I have been “binge”watching your videos on the train on the way to work and at night for the last week or so! What i love is how gentle you are with the babies. How considerate and respectful you are of them as people rather than just a subject to photograph. I watched a tutorial on another channel recently on how to wrap a baby and I could not understand how the baby stayed asleep because it was moved around so much! Also, it was so tightly wrapped I cringed. I love your videos, your personality and passion shines through.
I saw the video that you're talking about and I agree! I cringed a little watching it, I felt like it was a little rough. This video was amazing! I am a fan
I have been starting newborn photography for the last year or so. It has been so stressful trying to master all of these "popular poses". I am so grateful you helped met to see how simple it can be, and that it doesn't have to be complicated. Thank you for sharing your experience and expertise. I really appreciate it!
Your soft voice makes it seem your perfect for this work. Kind of outside my genre of interest, but i watched the whole video and have since had friends ask me to photograph their newborn... Thanks for all the tips!! Great Video.
I love how you thought of everything for your business. Corner for older siblings to play, studied babies anatomy to be as safe as possible. What a show of professionalism, I love it!
Like a breath of fresh air. At last someone that has the common sense to put the care of the newborn first and not the photograph, all newborns are a delicate item and should be respected, Far to many so called baby photographers are more concerned about what they want and how they think how they should pose the baby. The little ones will always find the best comfort position by themselves most of the time, that's all that is needed is a helping hand. Great work keep it up
Hi, I love watching you vlogs. I really love how you advocate for the babies and kids as well as promoting their safety! Love your diy's as well, they inspired my sons/nieces 2 year old photos shoot. I made the floral circles with eucalyptus it was my first time ever using it! I loved it, thank you and keep being amazing! Greetings from Texas, USA!
You do AMAZING work! I wish you were closer to take photographs of our 2.5 wk newborn baby! The way you are so gentle and slow and calm handling the baby must make parents feel very much at ease (I know I would!) and lends itself well to these serene images! 😍
looove how gentle you are and making everyone comfy :))) because of this video now I know wich direction I have to go to become a new born photographer 💖 thank you
Absolutely correct! I really dont like photographers posing the babies in a difficult way and i dont think the babies are comfortable! Love your value and your attitude~ Look forward to more sharing!
I am watching your video for the first time and I am loving your videos. Your way of explanation is so simple and easy. I like the fact in baby's photoshoot baby's comfort matters a lot rather than taking too complicated poses which might makes baby uncomfortable. Great work!!! Thank you so much...
Great video. I'll definitely follow your tips. I'm planning to do a diy photoshoot with my baby. I'm so happy I watched your video. Your personality, your gentleness and your sweet voice is amazing! I loooooove it!
Love your comments about the less natural poses! I thought it was strange when I realised how they do some of them. I’m here hoping to pick up tips for doing some DIY!
Very well done and I learnt so much that I had not from many other videos. I really liked how much you emphasized on the safety and also having learnt first aid. Thank you. 💖💐🙏🏼
Lo máximo, gracias he aprendido mucho y eso que no sé inglés, tus enseñanzas directas con tus clientes es bien instructivo, Dios te bendiga, amo la fotografía

Hello, Fenna This is Ashok Ratnam from India. Really a very impressive photo shoot. Learnt so many things about the New Born Baby photoshoot Thanks for the video. Expecting more like this Thank you.
I am enjoying your videos. I am without a studio for the first time in 4 years as we live in a small house waiting to build a barn house behind this old house. My new house will have a 16 x 24 studio and your videos are very helpful to see how you have arranged your studio and work stations. I do newborns, family , pregnancy and weddings in Granbury Texas. I love your thoughts on posing too, I don't do the other poses as well, for the same reasons.
What kind of blanket material are you using for the backdrop on the flexi bars? It looks so soft, comfortable and stretchy. I am just starting out with my own family photography business and had my first newborn shoot yesterday! ❤️ I have absolutely loved your videos. Thank you for sharing your love and knowledge on all things newborn.
I've just been hired at a children's photography company and I've never had to pose babies before. This video was super helpful and it has eased a lot of my stress before my first training day. Thank you from Australia
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I'm just starting out photographing my reborn dolls and while they are very different from a real baby in the safety requirements and poses they can achieve, i've learned a lot in this and all your other vids i've been binge watching and im so excited to try getting some realistic pics of my dolls.
Thank you again for this. I did a sitter session 2 days ago with all your tips and keeping all natural. I am soooo in love with the pictures!! Thanks again!
Love your tutorial! What kind of wood are using to do your backdrop with the turquoise and the dark wood? silly question, how do you have it put together? is it backed on a pice of plywood or something>? Thanks!
Thank you Fenna, great video! Good to see how you make wonderful stress free poses! So hard when baby doesn't want to do certain poses, I think it's best to just keep it simple 😍😘 xx
Hello, I enjoyed your video! I was just wondering if you had an opinion about working with flash or constant light when photographing babies. If the baby is awake does the flash hurt their eyes?
Very useful video.. may I know which camera were you using while doing this video and for baby shoot? Was it same camera or different for both purposes? Thank you
Hey Fenna! I came across your videos because I am hoping to buy one of the paloma schell posing bags and saw you demonstrating using it! Since then I have became hooked watching your videos and love it! I am a fellow photographer in Scotland ! :)
This video is amazing thank you so much! I like how you broke down the different steps of your work flow, and you shared such helpful information. You are super professional and just lovely, and your studio is stunning 👍 thanks again 😊 x
Hi thank you for your video. I have so many questions unfortunately I come across your video too late. Just in case I will ask away : "in your opinion what is the basic non-photographic equipment/props needed to get started"? I am having a bunch of requests and would like to give this a try. I have children myself so I do have some experience with handle babies. I am just curious of how many props i should have.
'Sample is the key' wow you are so awesome 😍 l love your advice. I would like to get a new camera for newborn and maternity photography what u suggest ?
What lenses are you using ? And what’s your favourite lenses for newborn, sitter and cake smash photos
THE WICKFREE CANDLE CHICK - INDEPENDENT SCENTSY DIRECTER
She mentionned it was the 24-70
Yes, during a newborn session I mostly use the 24-70mm F2.8 lens. For macro shots (which I didn't show in this video) I use a Tamron 90mm macro lens
Annick Cé oh I must have missed it sorry.
Fenna&Photography thank you lovely lady
Such an amazing person you are.. haven't seen anyone guiding this greatt !!!!!♥️♥️♥️

I love how much you think on the safety of the parents baby’s n their comfort all photographers should make us feel like that
I Love how gentle you are. I see some people wrapping babies so roughly. I want to just stop these people. Thank you for your teachings.
Your soft voice makes it seem your perfect for this work. Kind of outside my genre of interest, but i watched the whole video and have since had friends ask me to photograph their newborn... Thanks for all the tips!! Great Video.
