Great review! I've been in love with this game since I found it in 2020 as its free ''Classic'' version, and as of the actual full game's release, it might just be my single most favorite game of all time. It isn't just the career mode and its pretty intuitive gameplay loop. It's the core idea of Cosmoteer, which it started with back in 2011 as a tiny proof of concept game- _The ship building._ I loved space ships since childhood and always wished for there to exist a game that allows you to build your own crafts. There were games that came close to fulfilling my wishes, like the flash games Galaxy Siege and its sequels and most notably, Event Horizon Frontier... But nothing truly captured what I wanted. That is, until I found about Cosmoteer. It truly had everything I could have ever wished for: Ability to design ships from scratch? Check. Ability to make it as big as you wish? Check. Simple and intuitive-seeming ship-building tools that are easy to use but incredibly hard to master? Check! Complete and utter customization? *CHECK!* It's truly a perfect game for me, and whilst I understand that not everyone will enjoy it to the same extent as I do, I consider it to be my favorite game, *ever.*
you seen Nimbatus? pretty solid on the ship building an automating front, bit sad that the gameplay/content is a bit lacking. worth a check out tho
Great review, I didnt know your channel and I had to subscribe! Really got interested on playing, specially since Im someone who enjoying more than its share of X4. One question though, is it possible to control more than 1 ship at the same time? Thanks for the video :)
i feel you dont understand what creative mode is. of course there is no 'direction' and its empty. its for you to build ships and test ideas for free
Can you toggle views between seeing the inside of your ship to seeing its hull?
If this game had a dense story like freelancer ... it would be THE game ... :)
i think they are working on story maybe. they have a place to read about pretty thorough lore, its just not part of the gameplay yet
