I have really been enjoying my green 973! The micarta grain is simply beautiful and it is such a solid smooth knife! I have been using it for edc over my S35VN green CS Recon 1, and I really love that knife, I gotta say! But the EF just seems to keep finding it’s way into my pocket quite a lot more! Every other knife I have owned with micarta scales has been fairly ordinary. I am glad to see that micarta can actually come in a more attractive form.
That would be some huge shoes to fill 😅. There are a lot of budget knives out there, and a lot of people that want to check them out. I'll do my best to show everything from budget to rare purchase knife!

I Can’t afford to spend a lot but when I do get some good fun money I’m able to get a nice knife at a nice price & good quality👍🏼 I really like the green Micarta on each & I really like the shape of each blade.. I've got the larger one, in green,and many many more knives and it's actually one of my most carried. I've got several high end knives also. Nice weight, sharp, fast action, super well made and a great self defense weapon.
My 973 arrived, so I took a hint from your video and checked all of the screws. Also, I have two more EF’s and one of them actually lost a screw. Sure enough I found three body screws loose and one pivot screw loose. I removed the clip and the body screw under the clip was one of the loose ones! Other than that, I really like this knife!!!
Hey Beez, I’ve been carrying the 972 for my EDC for a couple of weeks myself. I have the same critiques as you, the raised pocket clip screws catch on my pocket when putting it in and the detent is a bit weak. You can give it a good wrist shake ad the blade will deploy. Though I really like the shape and size of the 973.
Good morning Denny. Give us flat screws, and make the pocket clip set into the G10. Clips like these aren't the best for jeans. That knife is built for work though. Put it to the test brother 👊
I'm 69 and a new collector. Got 3 Eaten grew yeah pretty goog, but I like jumping and back spacers and pass-thrus and they often don't have it and I don't like slick scales. So I've learned to look carefully. Lots other budget brands feature all that for just a few bucks more. Waiting' on my first Putrified Fish!
I was on an Eafangrow kick this winter during plow season, every time I plowed I got an Amazon knife and wife got the rest lol. Great knives for money. Nice work knives or heavy user knife.

Good morning Beez. I just missed a bid on a knife I’ve been hunting awhile. It is the CKRT Tighe Tac Two with the clip point blade. A collector had it and only used it to open letters (he said). It looked about as brand new as a used knife can look. Hopefully I’ll find another one. They are no longer in production. That a nice pair of knives. I think I prefer the 973. It just looks like it’s ready to work, and it’s a big ‘un. 😁

Eafengrow definitely doing it right in the budget world. They also are doing very well at the upper end of budget blades too. I like the black washed blade the best of these 2. These budget blades are all getting better and better as time progresses

I like a toasted pop tart at times and always wondered why they did not have apple. Low and behold...I finally saw that they do have them. Unfortunately folks from down state brought them but all that was left was the box! Still not seeing them in our little neck of the woods. Both knives are nice and I favor the second one but for the price I would just get both.
I've had the apple, and it's pretty good. I bet you could order them at Walmart online, or Amazon LOL. That's one fun thing about this brand. They're affordable and it's not the end of the world if you lose one or mess it up

Correctamundo. It's funny how much of a difference a half an inch makes when it comes to a blade! A 4-in blade is no joke LOL. The 973 is definitely my favorite out of the two. It's almost friday!!!
I like these bigger knives! I wish there were different pocket clips for these tho. Or at least go to a more standard screw spacing so we could try other clips. Can't win em all. Thanks Beez!

Nice review... I like both. The first one with the exposed pointy steel liners makes for a good defensive knife... compliance tool. The 2nd one I really like with plenty of handle length. A good all around EDC knife.
Just for what it's worth, Eafengrow knives are spectacular from my point of view I have quite a few and they have all been excellent out of the box You just can't go wrong with them The only real issue I see is that most of their steel is not as advertised as been proven by several knife guys, but I still love mine
I think they are great for the money. I know LTK has tested batches in the last year and they have been coming back as true D2. I they they are doing a lot better than they did in the past, but I'll take them for the price anyway. I agree bro.
I had another knife orderd it was the ganzo fh21 as soon as I saw this knife I emediatly canceled the order and was like this is a knife I had to have in my collection

Love the kubey momentum, should have the 2nd a momentum coming today(Atlantic knife has them for $34). So I’ve decided I’m going get an ad20.5 but trying to find a good deal on a used one but may ultimately just buy one new if I get to excited about getting one lol.
That's a great price! I'm going to check them out! The 20.5 is such a good knife. I really like it when I'm doing a lot of in and out of the pocket, because it's so easy to deploy and put away.

I’m working with a tight budget so all my knives lately are in the budget category. I like a good budget knife with D2 and bearings but I want to try some better steel, like 14C28 or N690… something along those lines. I’ve made out great with every budget knife that you had done a review on. One of my favorites is the Kubey Momentum. I love the black stonewash blade better, but like the handle shape better on the other. Those blue "hubcap" pivots look nice.
I'm a big fan of exposed liners or shadowboxed liners. I think it gives a neat look to a knife.
My QSP Penguin bit me the other day and needed a bandaid lol. Those are cool I like Eafengrow.

I like the Petrified Fish PF919 D2, Amazon for $36.99. Comfortable grip just the wright weight for my large hands.
That one has a wicked looking blade! I love the harpoon!

The 20.5 is such a good knife. I really like it when I'm doing a lot of in and out of the pocket, because it's so easy to deploy and put away.

Thanks for another great video, Beez! I’m always amazed when you find those budget knives that are as good or almost as good as knives costing twice as much. I’m working with a tight budget so all my knives lately are in the budget category. I like a good budget knife with D2 and bearings but I want to try some better steel, like 14C28 or N690… something along those lines.
I’ve made out great with every budget knife that you had done a review on. One of my favorites is the Kubey Momentum. I also have a couple Sitivians and a Penguin, because everybody’s got to have a Penguin! Have a great day, Beez!

I definitely liked the 973 one better as well. Reminded me of the Civivi Praxis. But they look like they can stand up to a good beating with those big thick blades. lol

Great price for 14C, but I don't like the proud liners and exposed lanyard area on this one. They make some good knives, though.
