My personal and humble opinion: another sign of cheap life, is being disconnected from the present moment, someone who lives their life through social media, instead of connecting with the now. Maybe I'm just old fashioned.

In the past year I lived and worked on a cruise traveling the ocean for 6 months, then worked and lived on New York for the whole summer, lived in Las Vegas for a month and this year made the biggest move of my life and completely stepped out of my comfort zone. I moved to central Asia I found that stepping out of my comfort zone and traveling the whole made me way more happy than anything I ever bought or any product. There is nothing more important than experience and living life to the fullest

Refusing to replace the twin size mattress they slept on at age 12 when they are 40, and can easily afford a new one is a sign of a cheap life. Also anything they have no choice but to buy they always opt for the cheapest regardless of quality.

To me a cheap life is demonstrating the lack of critical thinking skills needed to synthesize knowledge from raw information and then the wisdom to apply that knowledge for good. I highly recommend a dialog written by John D. MacDonald titled "Reading For Survival" which you can find on line. Anybody with a library card can get the knowledge equivalent of a liberal arts degree for free. Reading and self education is exactly how I filled in the knowledge gaps that I had after focusing on all technical subjects in engineering school.

    - Written / predefined specs matter much to them with no consideration over unwritten / unstated ones. Looking for small values but neglecting the big picture.
    - They never allow themselves to look inferior, or so they’re perceived. They’re designed by life to enhance your life experience
    - They’re afraid to be perceived as not knowledgeable enough, afraid of asking question for the aforementioned reason.
    - They’re afraid to be labeled ‘not rich enough’. The more they’re afraid, the more stupid they become, and the cheaper they are.
    - Dramatize things, as if there’s less important thing in life

Number 2 : I'm not sure if that is sugar coat , but you mean appearance . Appearance is the keyword. Trying to look nice is important. Looks plays a important role. There is a difference between wanting to surgery vs simply using health products and services to look good and on top of that : Presentation , yes how you show yourself , your attire is professionally impactful and on casual level too but I just wanted to add this
I expected Alux to be more straightforward. Because few years ago I once unsubscribed because of how strongly biased was one of their videos but now I'm back , but I don't know.. However good to be subscribed again and be honest.
Number 2 aesthetics is right, but keyword is looks. People are afraid to say " looks matter " . I'm myself understanding of it. But just don't let it harm your mindset. Looks matter in a way how you present yourself. If you are insecure about those pimples and stuff in your face or body , you can change it because it's impacting your mindset. Somewhat psychology thrown here ( I'm not a big fan of philosophy as compared to science or psychology so I may be biased in that way )

What if I happen to be happy with a cheap life? I don't need glory or approval from others to respect myself. All I have to do is NOT non-defensively hurt, harm or demean others. There, that's all I need to say. I lose nothing that I want and others are grateful that I'm not some self-centered narcissistic douchebag who's only out for my own self-interest. And I don't need a rich or amazing life to have this.

I have seen other videos HERE that say the complete opposite for each point made... and when you challenge them they tell you, something like, "yes I said that BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN..." and nuanced the hell out of it.
Example: "Spend time reading bc education is key in life" But you said dont overanalyze things you need to TAKE ACTION... "yes I said that but that doesn't mean that you should spend too much time with an issue, the rich life is..." So basically make them uncomfortable no matter what they do, and download the app, and there is a phrase or video or saying for ANY situation you might find yourself in. Take risks and if you fail keep trying, but don't put all your eggs in one basket. If you are broke you can't live a full life, but also don't put too much value or identity in things like phones etc..."
All these videos are like this.
I know they may mean well but they ARE contradictory.

Don't be a follower be a student. Take what makes sense to you
I am a student, I learn, that's why I am here, but as I said, for each point made they got another video that makes the complete opposite points.

Your videos are great but the background music feels like noise in the background unlike other background music that you don't notice it's there. It's very distracting and not very conducive for listening which becomes annoying because you want to listen to the video. It's the same for all alux videos I already listened to.
